Teaching kids about Jesus doesn't have to be complicated, and it doesn't have to feel like a chore. We can be purposeful about demonstrating our own faith for them, and lead them in reading, discussing, and memorizing the Bible, and praying, worshiping, and attending church together.

"Miracles happen to those who believe." Faith is like the Wind-you can't see it, but you can feel it, and experience the effects of it! One should never underestimate the power of true faith. Scripture tells us that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you will be able to move mountains and "nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20).

DramaNet Ministries and Living Truth Church realize Faith can be a difficult concept for some to grasp, as it is not necessarily tangible or easily explained. The lesson today aims to communicate that we can trust God no matter what, and know that He will provide for us in this life and the next. It is not always easy to live for the Lord, but we can remember His promises past, present, and future, trusting He will fulfill future hopes as well.

DramaNet Ministries and Living Truth Church take opportunities to make Halloween fun and create lessons to help kids shine the light of Jesus, using pumpkins to introduce children to understanding how seeds work in connection with God's Word-the Seed of life! Today’s message is "God's Word the Seed" to help children see that planting seeds of faith will help their faith grow. Children's Message:

Howdy! DramaNet Ministries and Living Truth Church of Madisonville, Texas, welcome lil’ podners to a rowdy Western adventure, where we romp through the pages of the Bible. This western-themed study will take children through a series of Bible stories that highlight characters who were “outlaws,” defying norms (and sometimes even laws!) if that’s what it took to follow God and hold fast to righteousness-in particular-David and his band of outlaws! And just wait until we meet the surprising ultimate rebel of the Bible….(spoiler alert: He happens to be God’s son!) Along the way, we will enjoy making fun cowboy crafts, sampling some tasty snacks, playing some “galloping games,” and practicing frontier skills! It’s all part of a unique and memorable way to study the Bible! As we embark on this journey, please take time to pray for our youth. Ask that God would use the stories, activities, and songs to make lasting impressions on the lives of all participants. Additionally, please stand in faith that the people leading and participating, and through demonstrations of the love of God, create a desire for young people to be vessels of God’s glory! Prayer has powerful potential to impact the lives of our children!

DramaNet Ministries and Living Truth Church bring the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail to children to help them understand how this story conveys a much bigger picture of God’s provision for believers. This story is brief and comprised of a single chapter in 1 Samuel 25. However, this is one of the most profound stories in the scriptures, as it is a story that is symbolic or a “type and shadow” of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Abigail, who is innocent of wrongdoing, takes the sin of Nabal upon her head and provides for David and his men the deficiency of supplies caused by Nabal's sin. The Lord stands before us and will provide the help we need after we have been wronged, through His great love and sacrifice-Jesus and the cross and resurrection!

There was a moment when Moses had the nerve to ask God what his name is. God was gracious enough to answer, and the name he gave is recorded in the original Hebrew as YHWH.

Over time we’ve arbitrarily added an “a” and an “e” in there to get YaHWeH, presumably because we have a preference for vowels.

But scholars and Rabi’s have noted that the letters YHWH represent breathing sounds, or aspirated consonants. When pronounced without intervening vowels, it actually sounds like breathing.

YH (inhale): WH (exhale).

So a baby’s first cry, his first breath, speaks the name of God.

A deep sigh calls His name – or a groan or gasp that is too heavy for mere words.

Even an atheist would speak His name, unaware that their very breath is giving constant acknowledgment to God.

Likewise, a person leaves this earth with their last breath, when God’s name is no longer filing their lungs.

So when I can’t utter anything else, is my cry calling out His name?

Being alive means I speak His name constantly.
So, is it heard the loudest when I’m the quietest?

In sadness, we breathe heavy sighs.
In joy, our lungs feel almost like they will burst.
In fear we hold our breath and have to be told to breathe slowly to help us calm down.
When we’re about to do something hard, we take a deep breath to find our courage.

When I think about it, breathing is giving him praise. Even in the hardest moments!

This is so beautiful and fills me with emotion every time I grasp the thought. God chose to give himself a name that we can’t help but speak every moment we’re alive.

All of us, always, everywhere.
Waking, sleeping, breathing, with the name of God on our lips.

DramaNet Ministries and Living Truth Church are busy putting together a western "town" theme, complete with six shooters, bows and arrows, cowboy hats and cowboy boots, to creatively teach children The Stories of David and Saul, which are found in the Bible in 1 Samuel, Chapters Nine through Thirty-one. Many of David's Psalms have their origin or reference to these events in David's life before he became a King. They are noted in the approximate lessons. These poetic passages reveal much of David's faith and struggles; and teach us much about God's nature and work as well.
The story begins by contrasting Saul and David. Saul is the "man after man's heart," the one chosen by the people, who clearly judged by the outward appearance. David is the "man after God's Heart," chosen by God who looks upon the heart instead. It is striking that we meet him as a child, trusting God, and showing the virtues of God's children. Join us Sunday mornings beginning at 10:45 a.m. at Living Truth Church in Madisonville, Texas.
