Recalculating. Make a U-turn. Turn left, then turn left. Having moved to new cities on multiple occasions, the ease of GPS has curbed anxiety and helped get me to my destination. However, sometimes the program just doesn’t connect with reality and there must be a course correction.
After Adam and Eve sinned, it soon becomes apparent that this natural bent to be selfish, independent, and… sinful constitutes a crisis in humanity. There are lessons and some good news in what some might consider a hopeless culture. Explore this consequential part of the Bible with us as we learn of God’s grand restart and unmatched love. We understand this in part if we think about our own lives. Have you ever made a mistake that seemed devastatingly destructive only to experience mercy and grace?
In our continued study in Genesis, a huge mistake precipitated through deception had huge consequences. Yet in the middle of the turmoil, shame, and guilt, God offered more than expected.
