Why Life Forest Feels All Inclusive Pricing is Important

Families who come to a cemetery are grieving. They're not in a position to parse a complicated fee schedule or wonder what's included and what isn't. We want Life Forest families to have complete clarity and ease from the very first conversation.

We compare it to buying a cake from a bakery, you pay for the cake, there is not a separate bill for the flour, the sugar, the eggs, and the milk. Those ingredients aren't extras, they're simply what it takes to make a cake.

Burial is no different. If it's necessary, it's included. Full stop.

That's why you'll never see separate opening and closing fees at Life Forest, because of course the ground needs to be prepared.
Digging a hole is not an add-on, at Life Forest cemeteries, that is just what burial means.

Thank you April and Amanda for allowing us to share your beautiful family burial photo.

Thank you to the ICCFA for their thoughtfullness in sending us at Life Forest this awards ceremony video as we could not be there in person to accept the 2025 ICCFA Grand Prize Award.

Thank you also to Redesigning the End for assisting us in the creation of the beautiful video that they were able to play on our behalf.

As always, thank you to the authors Amanda Goodell, Stephanie Rush and Rachel Lally from Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc.

🌿 A path with purpose. 🌿

Our woodland burial trail by the Arch Garden has just been freshly laid with recycled wood chips, sourced right here from our own spring prunings. Nothing goes to waste at Life Forest.

This winding trail through our beautiful birch woodland is more than just a walkway. It's a gentle invitation to slow down, reflect, and connect with the natural world and a reminder that in nature, every ending becomes a new beginning.

📅 Want to walk it for yourself? Join us this Tuesday at 1pm for a guided tour of Life Forest Conservation Cemetery! It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the grounds, ask questions, and discover what a natural burial truly looks like.

All are welcome, whether you're planning ahead or simply curious. Come walk with us. 🍂

“When we've visited Life Forest, it’s a very different feel from a traditional cemetery. While people are there to remember their loved ones, it is completely encouraged to have kids giggling, running down the paths, picking blueberries.

Last time we went, there were a couple of kids there who had recently buried someone and they stopped to pay some respects, but then they were having a great time climbing on a huge boulder on the property.”
