Heaven Practice Pulpit Swap and Fellowship Picnic - Sunday August 23, 2026

The pastors of our Heaven Practice Community Worship partners are swapping pulpits this Sunday. Join the congregations of Hillsborough Presbyterian, St. Matthew's Episcopal, Hester Grove Missionary Baptist, Piney Grove Missionary Baptist and Bethsada Baptist for a joyful Sunday.

After services, join us at New Hope Camp and Conference Center at the O'Briant Pavilion for a fellowship lunch. Blessing will be at 1pm.

On Sunday, Hillsborough Presbyterian Church had a hymn sing. The choir chose some of their favorite hymns and we all lifted our voices to the Glory of God.

We love it when Paster Alex leads the children's message. We also love our other volunteers that help lead our children.

Hillsborough Presbyterian Church partnered with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) of PCUSA and Habitat for Humanity to return to Western NC for Hurricane Helene Relief. ⁠

Last week, the congregation of Hillsborough Presbyterian Church awarded the L.E. and Mary Beard Scholarship to Isabell Roberson.

This annual scholarship was established in memory of former HPC members L.E. and Mary Beard, who placed a high value on education as a cornerstone of future success. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a deserving high school senior to assist with the cost of higher education.

Isabella's high school activities and achievements have included the honor roll, the Minority Achiever Program and the Women's Catalyst Activists Club. Bella will be attending Appalachian State in the fall, where she hopes to major in Criminal Justice and eventually become an attorney in order to give a voice to people who need one.

Bella, we all wish you the best as you embark on the college adventure, and will look forward to updates!

Join Hillsborough Presbyterian Church and their Worship partners this Sunday for another Heaven Practice. We will gather at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church at 6pm. Rev. Raymond Myers from Bethsada Baptist Church will be offering the sermon.

Hillsborough Presbyterian Church shares Lemonade on the Lawn on Sundays after Worship service. Simple - Lemonade and cookies of your choice! We have at table for easy access in the narthex.

There are still several dates open if you would like to host. Check the sign up on the bulletin board in the hall of the education building or email the church office!

It's a great opportunity to chat with the church family after service!
