Wednesday night is full of opportunities to fellowship and connect with the Church Family! Lasagna will be served this week and we invite you to stay for classes or Bible study following the meal.

Note that the Church Office will now be closed on Fridays as well as Saturdays.

After an amazing time of witnessing baptisms, we *dove* into the second sermon of our new series from Genesis. Pastor Jeremy expanded on Creation and how mankind is different from animals. The main three points were...

1. We are made in the Imago Dei.
- We have reason, rational thought

2. We are blessed.
- Our main purpose is to glorify Him

3. We are given dominion over the animals.
- We are to be good stewards of God's creation

Last week, Pastor Jeremy began a new sermon series in the book of Genesis. We explored "How It All Began" by looking at several different Creation theories and the Truths about Creation.

Truths:
· There is only one God.
· God created everything ex nihilo (from or out of nothing).
· Creation was done with design and order.
· Creation was initially good

🗓️ Be sure to add these dates to your calendar!

Join us Sunday, August 30 for a full day of giving God the glory! Baptism Sundays are always special as we hear testimonies of how God is working. We hope you will be here to support and welcome our new members.

HMBC Men's Ministry will be hosting their annual Golf and Grub on Sunday, beginning at 4:15 PM at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course. Grub will be served at 5 PM, drawing for prizes will happen at 5:30 PM and tee time will be at 6 PM. After playing the course there will be homemade ice cream served at 8 PM. Again, for food purposes, men and boys are asked to sign up at the men's ministry table in the foyer. NOTE: there will be disc golf available as well!

Wednesday, September 2nd is our kickoff for Wednesday classes and fellowship meals! Join us at 6pm for the meal and classes will immediately follow. Let us know if you have any questions!

How was your Summer?! Hopefully it was full of lots of fun and making great memories!

If you missed a Sunday or maybe even a few, we have all of our services on YouTube! Pastor Jeremy led us through several of the Psalms over the Summer. It's a great series to listen to during the drive to work, waiting to pick up kids from school, or as you wind down in the evenings.

We also heard from guest speakers Grant Shewey, Aaron Myers, Paul Raugust, Dan Melton, Dustin Jost, Joe Sechrist, Ross Duerksen, and Ryan Loewen. Thank you to everyone who gave their time to speak those Sundays!
