Wesley Academy and First Methodist Church would like to recognize and sincerely thank Mrs.
Lisa Gordon for her 16 years of faithful service and dedication to Wesley Academy.

Throughout the years, Lisa has shared her love, compassion, and leadership with countless children and families in our community. After becoming Director of Wesley Academy in 2011, she helped make the preschool a special and nurturing place where children could learn, grow, and feel loved.

As Lisa retires and begins this new chapter, we wish her much happiness and many special moments with her grandchildren. Thank you, Mrs.
Lisa, for the love and care you have poured into Wesley Academy for the past 16 years!

We are also excited to welcome Ashleigh Nesmith as the new Director of Wesley Academy and Children's Director for First Methodist Church!

Ashleigh grew up in Abbott and attended First Methodist Hillsboro as a child, making this opportunity especially meaningful to her. She began working in daycare programs while attending college and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M Commerce.
Ashleigh has taught elementary students from kindergarten through third grade and is currently a teacher at Hillsboro Elementary School where she was recently named Teacher of the Year.

Ashleigh and her husband, Carson, have two children, Jameson and Jennings, and their family is excited to become part of the Children's ministries at First Methodist Church and a part of the Wesley Academy community. We look forward to the knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of teaching children about Jesus that she will bring to Wesley Academy and First Methodist!
