Sunday, March 10 we will have the Hillsboro High School Spirit "N Celebration singing during our morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Come join us and hear their special music. Potluck dinner following worship.

November 2 (Friday) is the church Annual Turkey Dinner and Silent Auction. Serving from 5 to 7 p.m. Carry outs are available. We are serving turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravey, green beens cranberrys, and PIE!!! Come and join us. Cost is by donation. We are also having a silent auction.

Today is also known as Shrove Tuesday from the old English Shriven which was the practice of confessing one's sins before Lent began. After you had confessed your sins then you could party, and thus Mardi Gras (which is French for Fat Tuesday). Tomorrow Lent begins, are you ready to begin the Lenten Challenge?

Today is Fat Tuesday which gets its name from being the day before Ash Wednesday when Lent begins and many people used to fast. On this day they would eat up items that could not be consumed during Lent such as lard, meat, and eggs, items that might be considered fattening. - Pastor Charles
