Here’s the honest version of this.
Most men’s ministry in America is soft. It’s games, icebreakers, awkward moments where someone hands you a worksheet, and a message delivered by a guy you’ve never met trying to sound relatable. Men sit through it out of obligation, and then they never come back. That’s not a knock on the church. It’s just the truth about why most men check out.
Whetstone started because men deserve better than that.
We gather every other Thursday — steaks on the fire, ci**rs if you want one, music in the background, and real conversation. Not a program. Not a retreat. Not a men’s conference with a worship set and a raffle. Just men, sitting around a fire, talking like adults. And yes, there’s a short message. Something real, something grounded, something that’ll actually stick when the week gets hard.
You don’t have to believe anything to show up. You don’t have to be in a good place. You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. We’ve got guys who are solid in their faith and guys who aren’t sure what they believe yet. Both are welcome. All of it’s welcome.
After a few gatherings, if a man wants to find a local church, we’ll help him. If he’s not there yet, we keep showing up for him. No pressure. No timeline. No guilt.
If any part of this sounds like what you’ve been looking for — or what you didn’t know you were looking for — come find out for yourself.
Every other Thursday. 6–8 PM. Steaks, ci**rs, music, and something worth hearing.
No signup. Just show up.
