When Christians die, heaven does not “get another angel.” We cannot become angels any more than we can become giraffes or ocean waves or stars. We are people and will remain so after this present life. God did not make a mistake when he made us human.

Lutheran Church Missouri Synod President Matt Harrison shares an update about 1st Vice President Herb Mueller who recently underwent surgery for a brain tumor. (Herb was my District President during most of my 11 years as pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, Illinois before becoming 1st Vice President of the Synod. He and his wife Faith are also personal friends.)

Pastor Harrison also shares information about the upcoming Synodical Convention that will take place in Tampa, Florida. He invites you to watch the proceedings at the link in the article so you can rejoice at what we are able to do together as a Church body. This year’s theme is “Joyfully Lutheran.”

Pastor Tom Moyer

First Vice-President Herb Mueller has been a standout among many excellent and gifted servants of Christ throughout his years of service to the LCMS.
