Please join us for Good Friday service this evening at 7:00 pm for a powerful time including hearing scripture about our Lord's Passion interspersed with singing verses of "O Sacred Head Now Wounded." We also will be confronted with darkness ... but then encounter, anew, the hope we have in Christ. Come and experience this in person tonight.

We also will gather on Sunday morning at 10:30 am to celebrate the "Resurrection of our Lord." It will be a glorious Easter service of singing, hearing God's Word, and celebrating the Lord's Supper.

It was a joy to confirm Summer yesterday. What an incredible Palm Sunday! Thanks be to God for continually raising up sons and daughters for his Church.

Today we celebrate the Angel's announcement to Mary that in nine months (December 25) she will give birth to the Son of God! Praise be to the Risen Christ who came to earth to "bear our sins and be our Savior."

We will gather to mourn the death and rejoice in the promised resurrection of Greg Plenert this Saturday, February 28, at Zion Lutheran, Hillsboro. Visitation is at 10 am with funeral at 11 am (both at Zion). Burial will directly follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

We begin our Lenten journey tomorrow at 7 pm with Imposition of Ashes and communion service. Please join us - service will be at Our Savior Lutheran, Marion (320 South Cedar).

May God stir our hearts anew as we journey to the cross on which the penalty of our sin was paid ... then to an empty tomb and the jaw-dropping promise it has for each of us.
