*AT HOME IN CHRIST*

*PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*"And the Word was made (became) flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth" *(John 1:14)*

Sometimes, I try to imagine what it was like being with Jesus when He walked the earth. What was Jesus like? John says He was full of grace and reality. When you came to Jesus, your search ended. When you came to Jesus, you arrived; you were at home; you didn't want to go anywhere else. It brings to mind the two disciples of John the Baptist who came to Jesus and asked, *"Master, where do you live?"* (John 1:38), and they followed Him home, listened to Him all evening until it became too late for them to leave. They stayed with Him through the night and the Bible specifically records that they never went back to John.

When you come to Jesus, you're at home; you're fulfilled! Glory to God! There's just something extraordinary about Him. He's peace personified! He's love untainted. He's joy indescribable. He's the embodiment of life! In Him, you find rest. He said in Matthew 11:28, *"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."* Quit the struggle. Stop the fear. Fix your gaze on Jesus. His divine presence in you, with you, and around you is your advantage over the crises and challenges of life.

Therefore, celebrate Christ in you. Celebrate His life in you and your oneness with Him. Love Him lavishly and prove it by your commitment to His Word. He said, *"If ye love me, keep my commandments"* (John 14:15). The proof of your love for Him is acting on His Word; that way, He'll cause you to sail through life's troubles triumphantly.

Good Morning beautiful People of God, Here's the Rhapsody of Realities devotional for today

*IT WAS FOR YOUR SAKE*

Thursday 31st December 2020 with Pastor Chris teaching;-

*For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)*.

The verse above isnโ€™t referring to spiritual riches and spiritual poverty. When you study the entire chapter in context, youโ€™d understand Paul was dealing with financial and material prosperity. For our sake, Jesus laid down His reputation, His riches and wealth; He laid down everything and identified Himself with us, and took our place. He became us. Everything He did was for our sake. He wasnโ€™t poor, but He became poor for your sake. In the same way, you werenโ€™t rich, but now in Him, youโ€™ve been made rich, just as in Him youโ€™ve been made righteous.

An understanding of this truth will cause you to walk in your heritage in Christ; your wealthy place in God. Your trust shouldnโ€™t be in the government, the society or in the job that you do. Your trust shouldnโ€™t be in any banking reform. Your trust has to be in the Word. He already became poor so that you, through His poverty, might become rich. Now, youโ€™re to step into what Heโ€™s done for you and who Heโ€™s made you. Youโ€™re to walk in the glory that Heโ€™s brought you into. That was the essence of His suffering: โ€œ...the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should followโ€ (1 Peter 1:11). The glory now follows. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I acknowledge my great inheritance in Christ and the place of greatness and abundance youโ€™ve brought me into. I vehemently reject poverty, lack, penury and want, but consciously choose the joyful, prosperous life in Christ. I walk in righteousness, health, victory and success, which are my heritage in Christ, in Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen*
