Good morning. Hope you had a great weekend. Most if not all have this thing called SIRI on your phones and many have an Alexa in your home’s as well. This technology can answer you, talk to you and do crazy things like turn your lights off and on. That’s better than Clap On-Clap Off. It’s crazy to think how advanced our technology is. However, it’s nothing compared to God and how He communicated. God spoke through a burning bush (Exodus 3:2), fire (Leviticus 10:1), thunder (Exodus 19:18-20) , whisper (Kings 19:12), writing on a wall (Daniel 5:5), a talking donkey (Numbers 22:27-30), and a wet/dry fleece (Judges 6:36-40). God spoke directly to people as He did with Samuel and Job, through Angels as He did with Abraham , through visions, in dreams as He had with Joseph and Daniel, and through prophets. God still speaks to us. Do you hear Him? We are spoken to by reading Scriptures, praying, Bible studies and worship. I asked SIRI how to get to Heaven, her answer was “interesting question”! Is God telling you to speak, teach, visit someone, share the Good News, forgive someone or spend more time on bended knee or in Scriptures? If your not sure if you are going to Heaven ask God not SIRI. If you need someone to walk you through scriptures because of doubt or confusion, I will be happy to show you what the scriptures say about Heaven, Hell, being saved and being lost. Be a Difference Maker this week. How may I pray for and with you this week?

Good morning. Acts 8:4-8, 28-40. Philip was preaching and the church was growing. Philip was had it going. The people were hearing the message that was preached. Verse 8 says there was great joy in the city. The crowds loved hearing Philip preach and lives were changing. Then BAM V28 and angel of the Lord to go south on the desert road that goes to Gaza. So he started out and met an Ethiopian Eu**ch. The eu**ch asked Philip to explain what he was reading. Philip explained the Good News of Jesus, the Ethiopia Eu**ch believed and was baptized. Many of you might be struggling trying to understand why God has you where you are. Philip didn’t understand either why God sent him down the desert road. But Philip obeyed. Are you letting God use you where you are? Will you be A Difference Maker for whomever God has and will place in your life? If you are struggling this morning or anytime and need someone to pray and read scriptures with you please reach out. How may I pray this week for you?

Good morning
Matthew 13:9 “He who has ears let him hear.”
The word “Hear” occurs 19 times in Matthew 13. Our ears let us hear many different sounds. The constant drip drip drip of a leaky faucet as you try fall asleep or that pesky mosquito buzzing your ear what seems like forever. The laughter of children, the birds waking up the day, the baby calf calling his momma and the momma calling back and songs sung in church and the preacher boldly proclaim the word of God. I recently told someone I need to listen with my ears and not my mouth (Some of you should try this too). Jesus taught the crowds in parables. This verse is part of the Parable of the Sower. Just as seeds sowed start to grow, the word of God also begins to grow and deepen within that person who hears and applies the Word of God. Will you spend time this week listening to the Lord and applying it in your life? Will you be a Difference Maker for someone this week? How may I pray for you this week?

Good morning
Isaiah 66:13 “as a mother comforts a child so will I comfort you and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

Mother’s Day was last Sunday but should be every day. There is something to be said about the comfort that a mom can give her child. I know there are moms who would do anything they could for their children. Some children didn't have biological moms that comforted them and they sought out a mom figure that could fill that need. Thank you to all the fill in moms. So this week and every week celebrate Mothers Day! Will you honor the mothers in your life with a visit, phone call or a card. If your mom has passed away hold on to any good memories. You can be a Difference Maker by being a fill in mom for someone who doesn't have a living mom. You can also reach out to someone whose mother that has passed away since last Mothers Day and offer a hug and a prayer. How may I pray for you this week?

Good morning.
Acts 17:22 “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious.”
Paul was good with words. Now there are some that will not agree with that statement and it’s your choice. Paul knew that in Athens at that time there were over 30,000 idols. He was agitated. He was provoked. He wanted people to know who God was. Paul remembered a time in his own life that he was ignorant of God. There are still people ignorant about God and hell bound! Paul knew that all the little gods and idols not one said “come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Paul knew that of the 30,000 idols and gods, there wasn’t called God of Hope, God of Mercy or God of Love. Paul knew that Jesus had given him rest for his soul and forgiveness of his sins. Paul was provoked and in his urgency sharing the gospel, he wasn’t accepting these lifestyles, these idols and gods. Paul continued preach and teaching that Jesus was intolerant of sins no matter what the Athenians called it. Paul didn’t try to put them in their place! Paul was trying to bring them into God’s grace. Friend sin is sin. Don’t let the world water it down, don’t let your church water it down, don’t agree with the world and become tolerant of what Jesus called sin. It’s still sin even you don’t want to think so. Stand strong on the Holy Inerrant Word of God. Don’t be Religious. Be Relational. Be a Difference Maker this week. How may I pray for you this week?

Good morning.
Acts 17:22 “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with the inscription: To the unknown god. What therefore you worship as unknown this I proclaim to you.”
Paul was in Athens talking about his faith. Paul standing in the presence of a highly educated audience. Paul was also provoked. There were approximately 30,000 idols being worshipped in Athens. Some might say Paul was religious, the disciples were religious and I have been in church all my life and I am religious too. Good for you!! Not really!!! That’s NOT A GOOD THING!!! Jesus wants a relationship with you not for you to be religious. Of the 30,000 idols and false gods, not one of them was the God of Hope, the God of Mercy or the God of Love. Paul knew they were religious and didn’t know Jesus. Maybe you are religious and don’t know Jesus. If that’s true being religious doesn’t get you through the Pearly Gates. Only Jesus can do that! No church classes, not going to Bible studies or serving on a committee will get you to heaven. Jesus said, “ I am the way, the truth and life. No one comes to Father except through me.
In Romans 10 we are told, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Not sure if your saved? Text or call me. Reach out to you pastor and let them take you through the scriptures. Be a Difference Maker this week to at least one person. Paul shared the Good News of Jesus and you can too. How may I pray over you this week?

Good Morning. Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
As a kid I hated to hear my parents say, TJ it’s time! Dadgum. The words “IT’S TIME” just stunk. Way back in the 1900’s like 1960’s there were great Western’s on tv every Saturday morning. With 10 minutes left on the show my mom would holler, TJ turn the tv off IT’S TIME to go, IT’S TIME to do the yard, IT’S TIME to clean your room, IT’S TIME to eat, IT’S TIME to take trash out. Your getting it by now. It was always time to do something. Twice I enjoyed hearing IT’S TIME. Cheryl was expecting our first then second and said TJ IT’S TIME to go. Solomon is letting us know God has a plan for each of us. The secret to finding peace with God is to discover, accept, and appreciate God’s perfect timing. It’s dangerous to doubt or resent God’s timing as I did with my parents timing. So when God says TJ IT’S TIME I do my very best not to rebel or grumble. I got to just do it! How about you? What’s God telling you, IT’s TIME to do? How may I pray for you today?

Good morning
Colossians 3:13 “Bear with other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”
An Old man was watching a farmer plow his field with a mule. The old man couldn’t keep quite any longer and said to the farmer I don’t mean to tell you how to do your job, but I could save you some hard work and time. The farmer stopped and wiping the sweat off his brow said ok tell me. The old man said instead of plow reigning the mule just command Gee and Haw. The farmer said I reckon you’re right but that mule kicked me 4 years ago and I haven’t spoken a word to him since. Hopefully you laughed at that story. Now the reason for the story. Who hurt your feelings? Who are you not talking to because of something that was said? Just 2 weeks ago Jesus was in the upper room eating with his disciples and began to wash their feet. One by one! Each of them! Jesus knew Peter would deny him. Jesus knew the disciples would sleep in the Garden when they asked to stay watch and pray. Jesus knew Judas would betray him. Jesus knew only John would be there when he was crucified. Jesus washed John’s feet as well The other 11 disciples. Jesus forgave them. In Luke 23 while on the cross, Jesus said “Forgive them for they know not what they do!”
Can you forgive the one who has hurt you the most? Jesus didn’t love them less because of past or future sins. Jesus offers grace, mercy, unconditional love and forgiveness when we repent and offer forgiveness to the most difficult family member or friends. Be The Difference Maker for someone this week. How may I pray for you?
