Happy Friday, everyone!

Well, we've certainly had our share of rain this week, haven't we? ☔ Hope everyone is doing well and finding a little sunshine along the way! 😊

All this rain has me thinking about Sunday's message and those three words we've been carrying with us: Surrender. Reflect. Trust.

Life has its storms too, and sometimes they linger longer than we'd like. But even when the skies are gray, God is still at work.

As we wrap up the week, let's take a moment to reflect. Was there something you needed to surrender, an opportunity to show God's love, or a moment when you simply had to trust Him?

Let's also keep everyone affected by Hurricane Isaias in our prayers.

After the storm comes the sunshine, and even in the waiting, God is working. 🌤️

Good morning!

Sunday’s message through Jeremiah 21–24 left us with four reminders:

• Don’t place our trust in human leaders.
• Be mindful of false shepherds who scatter rather than care for the flock.
• Our hope is in Christ—the Righteous King and Good Shepherd.
• God can use what looks bad to bring about His greatest good.

As we walk through this week, let’s hold onto three words:

SURRENDER • REFLECT • TRUST

What do I need to surrender?
How can I reflect God’s character?
Where is He asking me to trust Him?

“God often does His deepest work not in our seasons of strength, but in our seasons of struggle.”

Something to carry with us until we gather again Sunday. 🤎

Hello, October! 🍂

There’s something beautiful about beginning a new month and realizing that God has already been preparing our hearts for what’s ahead. We don’t have to have everything figured out—we simply continue walking, listening, growing, and trusting Him along the way.

May October bring opportunities to slow down, notice God in the everyday moments, and carry what He has been teaching us into the days ahead.

Rivers Edge Family!

Another month is coming to a close, and we’re so thankful for the opportunity to grow together!

We would love to welcome our K–5th grade children this Sunday as we continue our end-of-month tradition of fellowship and worship.

Our hope is to create a place where children can build lasting friendships, grow in their faith, and feel part of a loving church family.

Come as you are! Whether your family has been with us for years or you're joining us for the first time, there's a place for your child here.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday as we continue building a strong faith community together! 💛

🍂Good morning and happy first day of fall!

There's something beautiful about welcoming a new season. A chance to reflect on where we've been, appreciate where we are, and look forward to what's ahead.

As I think back on Sunday's sermon, I'm reminded of how often we want to know what's next. We make plans, set goals, and sometimes become so focused on where we're going that we forget to appreciate what God is doing in us along the way.

As we welcome fall, perhaps we can spend a little less time worrying about what's ahead and a little more time growing in our relationship with God.

What might this new season look like if we spent more time seeking Him rather than trying to figure everything out ourselves?

Wishing you and your families a beautiful first day of fall. May this season bring us closer to God as we continue growing in faith, one day at a time. 🍂

Happy Friday! 🤍

Before we close out the week and head into the weekend, I thought this would be a good time to check in with ourselves and the message we heard on Sunday.

Did we carry it with us this week? Did we make time to listen to God’s voice? Did our worship and obedience go hand-in-hand? And what have we been placing our trust in?

No matter how busy this week has been, take a few quiet minutes today to reflect and spend time with Him. We don’t have to wait until Sunday to seek Him.

God still says, “Obey My voice.” — Jeremiah 7:23
