Please be in prayer for the Smith family. Shirley’s visitation will be at River Road Baptist Church at 10 o’clock and the service will be at 10:30 on Tuesday. We will be feeding the family immediately after the service.
Smith – Shirley Ann Smith, age 88, of Callahan, Florida went home to be with her Lord on August 30, 2026. She was born in Waycross, Georgia on February 3, 1938.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Shirley lived a life focused on service to others, built a 59-year marriage and raised her family with Bill, spent the last 40 years of her Christian Walk serving at River Road Baptist Church. Mom’s strength was unmatched; she was fearless and never wavered in her beliefs and commitments. She was loved and will be missed!
Shirley is preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Cason; husband, Roy A. Smith; brothers, Jim Cason, Mickey Cason; sisters, Joan Chavez, Ann Dennis.
Shirley leaves behind her sons, Roy “Billy” Smith, Jr., Gary Smith, Craig Smith; daughter-in-law, Janice Smith, grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Ashley Smith, Morgan Fuson, Andrea Smith, Amanda Smith, Macy Cooper; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Brody, Grayson, Leighton, Pierson, Rowen; and brothers, Dickey Cason, Larry Cason.

A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at River Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
