LONG MESSAGE from Pastor Kevin...

Hi Church Family. I have several things to share...

1. Tomorrow, the 9:00 am service will be moved indoors to the worship center. There is lots of standing water on the property currently, and more rain is coming. Also, Kurt will be on vacation. We have a wonderful worship leader from MVNU with us. It makes it much easier from a sound and technology standpoint to move inside. Thank you for understanding.

2. As many of you know, my mother passed away unexpectedly last Sunday afternoon. It has been quite a week. We are feeling this loss. It's hardest on my dad who occasionally forgets she passed away and then grieves the loss all over again. Even so, GOD IS GOOD! We had a beautiful few days at the Ironton First Church of the Nazarene surrounded by lots of friends and family celebrating Mom's life and testimony. My heart is full! Thank You Jesus!

3. THANK YOU FRIENDS! So many of you have reached out with texts or on Facebook. The messages we have received have been so loving and very much appreciated. I hope to respond to every message, but it will take a few days.

4. SUNDAY SERMON - I will be working on the sermon today. Maybe lift up a prayer for me? The title of the sermon is "BETTER BY FAR." Here is the Scripture...

Philippians 1 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

5. I am hoping to have the SUMMER GROUPS document ready for you tomorrow. There are many exciting opportunities for us to connect and grow together this summer! I hope to have a SIGN UP SHEET.

GUEST SPEAKER - Will Meyers is preaching this Sunday in both services - (9:00 am Outdoors / 11:00 am Worship Center). He recently graduated from MVNU with a degree in Christian Ministry. He will share his testimony of healing following a terrible car accident last year. We hope to see you! 🙂❤️

Hope looks like action. 💛

Our Hilliard Reach Out team loves helping with repairing decks, fixing fences, clearing overgrown yards, power washing, painting, and so much more-all to serve neighbors who just needed a helping hand.

Because sometimes, it’s the small acts that make the biggest difference in someone’s everyday life.

Do you know someone in the Hilliard School District who could use a little extra help with home repairs or yard cleanup? We accept project applications all year long, and we’d love to serve them.

The team is coming together with a shared desire to serve and support an incredible ministry. ❤️

They will be serving alongside the staff at Village of Hope. This is a children’s home that cares for kids who have experienced significant trauma and loss. During their trip, they will be helping with building and improvement projects, while also pouring love and encouragement into the lives of the children.

To help make this mission possible, they are raising funds through a silent auction—and they'd love your support!

Be part of something powerful as we come together as a Church Family to serve and support women on their journey to freedom and restoration. 💛

We are collecting:

📖 Life Recovery Bibles
These are given to women in the ladies’ prison where Freedom Collective serves. You can find them on Amazon for around $30.

🥘 Frozen Casseroles
A local SAFE House provides a place for women to rest and receive care. These meals help ensure they always have something warm and ready when needed. Homemade or store-bought are both welcome!

🗓 All donations are requested by Sunday, April 19

Every item given is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone. Thank you for being the hands and feet of love in action
