Sunday we sat in Psalm 86. David wrote it from a valley, overwhelmed and worn down, and his circumstances never changed inside the prayer. What changed was where he looked. He let go of the fix he wanted and started wanting God Himself. Here’s the part worth keeping for the week, what trusting God can look like when nothing around you has changed.

There’s something about a room full of people who showed up to hear from the Lord. This morning Cory took us into Psalm 19… a reminder that God’s still speaking, through everything He’s made and every word He’s given, and the invitation is simply to pay attention.

What a morning at Northwest.

Anthony took us into Psalm 1 today, and somewhere in there Seth (first service) & Jered (second service) ended up blindfolded on stage trying not to step on a pile of Legos. If you were here, you get it.

The point stuck, though. We walk through a lot of life unable to see what’s coming, making our calls by feel. But the Lord knows the way of the righteous. He isn’t watching from a distance. He wants to walk us through it.

If this week feels like one of those you can’t quite see your way through, that’s the part to hold onto. You’re not feeling your way around alone.

Grateful for everyone who showed up today. See you Sunday.

Some days are clear. Most days, you’re carrying something.

If you’ve been thinking about coming to church—or coming back—tomorrow’s a good day. We’re starting a new series in the Psalms: ancient prayers from people walking through the same hard, ordinary, real-life seasons we walk through now.
