We live in a web of relationships. This is beautiful. It also means we can be part of grave harm of which we are not aware. How do we not fall into despair? How are we to live? These are the questions we gather together to hold, to live our way into the answers.

Much of what consumers buy is marked “sustainable,” “humane” or “green.” In the sugar cane fields of India, that papered over the worst abuses.
