“It’s Friday - Jesus is praying - Peter’s a sleeping - Judas is betraying - But Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - Pilate’s struggling - The council is conspiring - The crowd is vilifying - They don’t even know - That Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - The disciples are running like sheep without a shepherd - Mary’s crying - Peter is denying - but they don’t know - That Sunday’s a comin.

It’s Friday - The Romans beat my Jesus - They robe Him in scarlet - They crown Him with thorns - But they don’t know - That Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - See Jesus walking to Calvary - His blood dripping - His body stumbling - And His spirit’s burdened - But you see, it’s only Friday - Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - The world’s winning - People are sinning - And evil’s grinning.

It’s Friday, The soldiers nail my Savior’s hands to the cross - They nail my Savior’s feet to the cross - And then they raise him up- Next to criminals.

It’s Friday - But let me tell you something Sunday’s comin.”

It’s Friday - The earth trembles - The sky grows dark - My King yields His spirit.

We’d love to see your crosses this Holy Week 🤍

Every year, we place a cross in our homes as a visual reminder of the story of Jesus—and we mark each part of the week by draping it in different fabrics:

🌿 Palm Sunday – Purple
We remember Jesus as our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

🖤 Good Friday – Black
We reflect on the death of Jesus—the full payment for our sins.

✨ Easter Sunday – White
Because HE IS RISEN!

The white cloth remains on the cross until Ascension Day, 39 days after Easter, reminding us that Jesus is alive and reigning.

The empty cross is a powerful reminder to the world of God’s love for us:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16

🌸 Spring Cleaning Day at Elevation! 🌸

This Saturday from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, we’re getting our spaces ready for Easter—and we’d love your help!

Come for an hour or stay the whole time—every bit helps! 🙌

Here’s what we’ll be working on:

Outside:

Window cleaning
Laying a stone walkway in the island
Uncovering sprinklers behind the building
Trimming grass/weeds in the drainage pond

Inside:

Cleaning the playset
Painting 2 walls in the youth room
Moving chairs from the storage unit (trucks/trailers needed!)
Hanging acoustic panels in the large kids room
Mopping/cleaning the stage floor

Let’s work together to create a welcoming space for Easter weekend! 💛

🌸 Spring Workday – Let’s Get Ready for Easter! 🌸

Join us next Saturday, March 28th from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM as we come together to clean and prepare our church for Easter!

We’ll be working both inside and outside, getting everything ready to welcome families and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. There’s something for everyone to help with!

🧹 Come for an hour or stay the whole time
🧤 Bring work gloves if you have them

Let’s take care of the space God has given us and get it ready for a special Easter season. We’d love to see you there!
