Jesus creates a new kind of relationship.

Through Christ, we have been made part of a new humanity — one where our relationships are no longer shaped by pride, control, or the patterns of this world, but by the humility and love of Jesus.

In Colossians 3:18–4:1, Paul speaks into relationships with different roles and levels of authority: husbands and wives, children and parents, servants and masters. The message is clear — whether we have authority or are under authority, Jesus is our ultimate Lord.

Because Christ humbled Himself and gave Himself for us, we are called to reflect Him in the way we treat others.

Our influence is not an opportunity to elevate ourselves or diminish others. It is an opportunity to serve, honor, and bring dignity to those God has placed around us.

As you reflect on this message, ask:

• Do my words reflect the love and humility of Jesus?
• Do I use my influence to serve others?
• Do the people closest to me experience the grace of Christ through me?

Use this guide as a practical way to move from hearing God’s Word to living it out this week.

May our homes, workplaces, friendships, and communities become places where people see the character of Jesus through the way we love one another.

What does it look like to have relationships shaped by Jesus?

In Colossians 3:18–4:1, Paul shows us that true order in our relationships isn’t about power or position—it’s about reflecting the heart of Christ. Because of who Jesus is and what He has done, we are called to honor one another in a way that points people back to Him.

Healthy relationships don’t just follow the patterns of the world—they are transformed by the example of Jesus. ❤️

NEW HUMANITY. NEW RELATIONSHIPS.

If Jesus is really making us new, what should that new life look like in the relationships closest to us?

This Sunday, we’re continuing through Colossians as Paul brings the reality of our new identity in Christ into the places where life gets real: marriage, family, work, authority, and everyday relationships.

Because becoming a new humanity in Christ doesn’t stay theoretical.

It changes the way we love, serve, lead, submit, work, forgive, and live with one another.

Join us this Sunday as we open Colossians and explore what it means to live out a new identity through new relationships.

Some tags are easy to wear.

“Failure.”
“Angry.”
“Rejected.”
“Not enough.”
“That’s just who I am.”

But Colossians 3 reminds us that in Christ, we are not meant to remain defined by the old self. We are called to put off the old and put on the new—being renewed in the image of our Creator.

Take a few minutes with this guide.

Identify the tag.
Examine where it came from.
Then ask what God is inviting you to put off—and what He is teaching you to put on.

What old tag have you been carrying that God may be asking you to stop wearing?

What if the church isn’t supposed to be a place where everyone agrees, thinks alike, or comes from the same kind of background?

We’re different in plenty of ways—but Jesus brings us together in a way the world can’t manufacture.

It’s worth asking: what does that kind of community look like in our lives, not just on Sundays?

Watch the full message and explore what it means to be a new kind of community in Christ.

What does it actually mean to live as a new humanity?

This Sunday, we’re continuing Week 5 of our journey through Colossians, turning to Colossians 3, where Paul shows us what it looks like when the gospel doesn’t just change what we believe—it changes who we are and how we live.

In Christ, the old self is being put off, and a new way of life is being put on.

A new identity.
A new community.
A new way of living.
A new humanity.

Join us this Sunday as we explore what it means to live out the new life we’ve been given in Christ.

Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and reminded of who you are in Jesus.

See you Sunday! 🙌

What’s competing with Christ for your trust?

The pressure to look elsewhere can be subtle. It might show up as performance, success, politics, spiritual consumerism, or self-reliance—anything we begin to depend on for the identity, security, significance, or satisfaction that only Christ can provide.

So take a moment and ask:

What am I looking to for what only Jesus can give?

Swipe through this mini guide, identify the pressure, name the substitute, and turn your attention back to Christ.

Colossians 2 reminds us that we have been “filled in Him.”

Christ is enough.

Save this post and come back to it when you feel the pressure to look elsewhere.
