It is written, “Get rid of the way you behaved before … and be constantly renewed in the way you think [having a fresh and new mental and spiritual attitude].” - Ephesians 4:22-23.
I don’t know about you, but over the years I have found that when there are times of trouble, usually the first thoughts that come to mind are certainly not positive thoughts.
When you think about it, negative thoughts and fear bombarded us from every possible angle in life. It’s really a trick of the enemy to bring us down.
And if we’re going to dwell on the enemies lies, and negativity takes route, it’s going to create an enemy stronghold in our thoughts, and that’s where the attacks on our lives are launched and begin to wear us down.
So, right then and there, we have to choose to trust God and know that He has great things in store for us. When you believe that your life is immediately transformed and you know, without a doubt, you cannot fail.
So, how do you change the way that you think? It’s easy!
If it’s a discouraging, destructive and intrusive thought; if it brings fear, worry, doubt, or unbelief; if the thought makes you feel weak, insecure, or inadequate, you better believe that that’s not from God. Recognize it for what it is … destructive.
Stay full of hope and believe that God is fighting your battles for you. It’s a game-changer when you think like that.
And remember, Jesus said, “With God everything is possible.“
