Today is National Food Bank Day. Consider buying some non-perishable food today for out neighbors in need. There is a big blue bin at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch CO right at the front door. It helps homeless veterans transition to a real home lifestyle.

In the words of the 20th century great spirit Mame Dennis, we need a little Christmas right this very minute. My friend who works in Children’s cardiology has a little boy who is a big Nightmare Before Christmas fan who is waiting on paperwork for his fifth surgery in 3 years. I just happened to finish this quilt with Jack Skellington and Sally. Christmas comes today in our love and spirit. Thank you Pastor Michelle for blessings this quilt and pillow so we could get this to him!

Every year, each UMW unit works on supporting the conference mission team by having a personal fundraiser. This year's theme is "Mugged for Mission." Just count the mugs in your kitchen cabinet and multiply the total by 50 cents. That amount is what you would send to UMW. Feel free to ask any question. Our goal is to get a great potable donation ready for Conference headquarters by Sept. 1st.
