Cadets at New Life CRC

Last Friday, I went to Bethel CRC in Lansing to check out their pine wood derby race. A couple of our boys have been attending there and did pretty well at the race! Great job, Peter, Adam & Eli! Thank you Bruce Meyer for doing an outstanding job as always!

I sure do miss all the boys this year!

This is Joseph Parodi. During the peak of Covid, I made the decision to step away from Cadets which would have been my last year as a leader since my youngest son would be graduating. It was with a heavy heart and tons of praying to make the choice that both Ethan and myself would not participate due to his weakened immune system. With the season done I've thought long and hard about my last message. Since Jamie and myself were the admins for this page. We will be turning it over to the new leadership. I want to thank New Life for welcoming me in as a leader in 2010. 10 years of amazing fellowship. Thank you also for restarting the Jr Cadet program with Ethan and his friends. Followed by watching all these amazing boys grow up into young men. I wish everyone the best and may God bless each and every one of you. May you all continue LIVING FOR JESUS!

Last Wednesday was our final meeting of the year (and my last as head counselor). We celebrated with pizza and auctioned off lots of fun things for the boys! I was surprised with a cake from my fellow counselors along with cards and gift cards from some of the cadets. I’m so thankful to have been part of these boys’ life and getting to know them! I pray God will continue to use the Cadet ministry to ‘Helping boys to grow more Christlike in all areas of life’.

We had a great meeting last night! We awarded the winners of the show portion of the derby race, built rockets, and got to see some of Peter’s hard work on some more badges he’s been working on 😊
