Summer is just around the corner, which means that it’s that time of year again!! VBS TIME!! We will be running our VBS program the week of July 13-17 with Christ Lutheran Church and School! We will be taking a Tropical Trek where we will learn how Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10)! As we traverse fun and exciting places, like a dormant volcano and island caves, we’ll discover how God finds us and helps us in every challenge we face. Sign up NOW by going to our website!
And if you would like to volunteer – we’d LOVE to have you. Please contact the Christ Lutheran Office at 248-684-0895 or [email protected]

We need your help! Saturday May 16th at 10am, we are hosting a meal packaging event that will provide food for kids in local communities, as well as through international relief and disaster relief support. These meals can make all the difference in these children's lives. So how can you help? There are two ways. The first is to volunteer to help us package these 10,000 meals. We need at least 100 volunteers, so invite your friends and your family. The second way is to support this event by donating to cover the expenses for the supplies. The steps for donating and volunteering are detailed in the flyer below. Please join us in making a difference in the lives of children around the world!

Join us this Sunday for worship at 10am where we will welcome Marina and Hanna Alshomali as special guests among us. They will be sharing with us briefly the plight of Bethlehem Christian, and after the service we will be hosting, in the Narthex, a display of handmade olive wood religious articles from Bethlehem available for purchase. These carvings include olivewood Nativity sets, crosses, Christmas ornaments, candle holders, angels and many other religious crafts.

The carvings are handmade by Christian families from Bethlehem who rely on it for their daily bread. More than 70% of the Christian Community in the Holy Land depend upon tourism as their only source of income. For decades those Christians have been enduring many hardships as tourism in Bethlehem has plummeted and access to other sources of income has been sharply restricted due to the ongoing conflict, the wars , the 12 yard wall built around Bethlehem, the COVID-19 pandemic, and recently the catastrophic war in Gaza that has already lasted more than two years.

Because of these circumstances tourists are afraid or unable to visit the Holy Land. This makes it very difficult for the Christian families to find their daily bread and has forced many to immigrate and flee their homeland since they lost their source of income. The Christian population of the Holy Land was 30% in the last century, today it is less than 1%. If it continues like this, in few years we will find no Christians in the land of Christ.
