🌱 The community garden has been planted!

Thank you so much to everyone who has already signed up to help. We still need additional help throughout the growing season with weeding, watering, and general maintenance. The garden is located outside of Hippie House Salon in Highland.

Coming up next month…

🍳 The Men’s Prayer Breakfast will return to its normal schedule on the second Saturday of the month — Saturday, June 13 at Eddie’s Rise & Dine in Highland.

📖 The Lord’s Prayer Summer Workshop Study led by Kim has been pushed back one week and will now run from June 17 through July 8. We are still looking for someone willing to host. Please reach out to Kim or send us a message if you would like to open your home for the study.

🙏 The Seasoned Group will meet again for a Night of Prayer on June 18. This will now be a monthly gathering with a new prayer topic each month.

🛒 For the month of May, we are continuing to collect 48 or 64 ounce bottles of apple juice and mustard of any size for the food pantry. ❤️

Next time you are out at the store, please consider grabbing an extra one or two items so we can continue supporting the pantry and helping those in need throughout our community. 🙏

Today we pause to remember the sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives serving our country and protecting the freedoms we so often take for granted.

As we honor them, let us also remember the families and loved ones they leave behind — those who continue to carry the weight of that loss each day. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may the Lord bring comfort, peace, and strength to those who mourn.

🔥 This coming Sunday, May 24, we will be celebrating Pentecost in the Park!

Join us at Spindler Park in Highland at our normal service time of 10:30 AM as we celebrate the birth of the Church and the descent of the Holy Spirit. ❤️

There will be a luncheon and fellowship following the service, so bring chairs, blankets, or whatever you need to get cozy and enjoy time together in fellowship. 🧺

This past Sunday, Aaron wrapped up the fifth and final installment of our Pertinent Parables series. All five messages are available anytime on Facebook or YouTube if you’d like to catch up or revisit the series.

This week, we reflected on the Parable of the Soils and the Sower from Luke 8:4–15. Jesus describes four types of soil representing the condition of our hearts as we receive God’s Word.

Application question for the week:
What type of soil are you most like right now?
• Hardened soil
• Shallow soil
• Weedy soil
• Good soil

And remember — where you are now is not where you have to stay. Just like the stones in Aaron’s message, God can clean, cut, and polish us into something beautiful for His purpose. 🌱
