Gracious and loving God, on this September 11, we pause to remember those whose lives were lost, those who were injured, and all who continue to carry the pain of that day in their hearts.
We lift before You the families and friends who still grieve, the first responders who courageously served others in the midst of tragedy, and all who answered the call to help their neighbors in a time of great need.
Lord, when the world feels uncertain, remind us that You are our refuge and strength. Fill us with faith instead of fear, hope instead of despair, and love instead of hatred.
Teach us to be instruments of Your peace. Help us to care for one another, to seek understanding, and to build communities marked by compassion, justice, and mercy.
May we honor the memories of those we remember today by living as Your people: serving our neighbors, welcoming the stranger, and sharing Your light in a world that longs for healing.
We place our trust in You, O God, and pray for peace among all people.
Amen.
