Our friends over at Griffith Lutheran Church have a great volunteer opportunity for anyone who has a pair of free hands and a willing heart.

Looking for a service opportunity?

Twice a month GLC serves hot meals at the Hammond Rescue Mission Shelter lunch program and we can always use volunteers to help serve meals. Our wonderful Fellowship committee provides a home-cooked meal, including entrée, sides, beverages and desserts for our volunteers to serve. We meet at GLC at 11 am on the days we serve. It is a wonderful and fulfilling ministry for our community! If you are interested in volunteering with us, you can sign up on the sheet in the hallway. If you have any questions, please call or email the church office. It doesn’t take much to make a big difference to someone in need.

Today is Pentecost Sunday, when we celebrate that God sent the Holy Spirit to be among us! 🔥

God our creator, the resurrection of your Son offers life to all the peoples of earth. By your Holy Spirit, kindle in us the fire of your love, empowering our lives for service and our tongues for praise, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Just a reminder that tomorrow (Saturday, May 23) is our annual All You Can Eat Pancake breakfast! It's $10 per person and includes coffee/juice. All proceeds Benefit the Markley Music Scholarship.
