الأب الروحي ليس شخصًا عاديًا في حياة الإنسان، بل هو أب يحمل أولاده بالصلاة والتعب والسهر والاهتمام. قد لا يراه البعض إلا كاهنًا أو مرشدًا، لكن أولاده الروحيين يعرفون كم يحمل عنهم همومًا وأوجاعًا بصمت، وكم يتعب ليحافظ على إيمانهم ونفوسهم.

لهذا، إهانة الأب الروحي ليست أمرًا بسيطًا ولا تُعتبر “مزحة” أو “رأي شخصي”. حتى لو كان الإنسان مختلفًا معه، أو غاضبًا، أو حتى من أهل الشخص نفسه، لا يحق لأحد أن يهينه أو يقلل من كرامته. لأن الكرامة لا تُجزَّأ، ومن تربّى على الاحترام يعرف أن مقام الأب الروحي يُصان.

الاختلاف لا يعطي الحق بالإهانة، والنقد لا يعني التجريح. والكلمات الجارحة التي تُقال بحق من يخدم ويتعب لأجل أولاده تترك أثرًا مؤلمًا في القلوب. فمن يحب شخصًا فعلًا، يحترم من يسنده روحيًا ويحفظ مكانته، لا أن يهينه أو يسمح للآخرين بإهانته.

الأب الروحي ليس ملاكًا بلا ضعف، لكنه إنسان كرّس حياته للخدمة، ومن واجبنا أن نقابله بالمحبة والاحترام، لا بالإهانة والتقليل. لأن الإنسان الذي لا يحترم من يقوده روحيًا، سيصعب عليه أن يفهم معنى الطاعة والمحبة الحقيقية.

احفظوا كرامة آبائكم الروحيين، ولا تسمحوا لأحد أن يستهين بهم، مهما كانت الظروف. فالاحترام لا يسقط بالخلاف، والمحبة الحقيقية تعرف كيف تحفظ المقامات.

A spiritual father is not an ordinary person in someone’s life. He is a father who carries his children through prayer, labor, sleeplessness, and care. Some may see him only as a priest or a guide, but his spiritual children know how silently he bears their worries and pains, and how much he struggles to preserve their faith and souls.

For this reason, insulting a spiritual father is not something simple, nor can it be considered a “joke” or a “personal opinion.” Even if a person disagrees with him, is upset with him, or is even from the person’s own family, no one has the right to insult him or diminish his dignity. Dignity is not divided, and those who were raised with respect understand that the position of a spiritual father must be honored.

Disagreement does not give anyone the right to insult, and criticism does not mean humiliation. Hurtful words spoken against someone who serves and sacrifices for his spiritual children leave painful wounds in hearts. Whoever truly loves someone will respect the one who spiritually supports them and preserve his place, not insult him or allow others to insult him.

A spiritual father is not an angel without weakness, but a human being who dedicated his life to service. It is our duty to meet him with love and respect, not with insults and belittlement. For a person who does not respect the one guiding him spiritually will struggle to understand the meaning of obedience and true love.

Preserve the dignity of your spiritual fathers, and do not allow anyone to look down on them, no matter the circumstances. Respect does not disappear because of disagreement, and true love knows how to preserve honor and rightful place.

✠ عيد الصعود الإلهي ✠

«لقد صعدتَ بمجدٍ أيها المسيحُ الإله، وفرّحتَ تلاميذكَ بموعدِ الروحِ القدس، إذ أيقنوا بالبركة أنكَ أنتَ ابنُ الله، المُنقذُ العالم.»

بفرحٍ روحيٍّ كبير تحتفل كنيسة إيليا النبي الأنطاكية الأرثوذكسية بعيد الصعود الإلهي لربنا وإلهنا ومخلّصنا يسوع المسيح، الذي صعد بالجسد إلى السماوات، وجلس عن يمين الآب، ومهّد لنا الطريق إلى الملكوت السماوي.

في هذا العيد المجيد، نرفع قلوبنا وأنظارنا نحو السماء، طالبين من الرب أن يثبّتنا بالإيمان والرجاء والمحبة، وأن يملأ حياتنا بسلامه وفرحه السماوي.

وبهذه المناسبة المباركة، نتقدّم بأحرّ التهاني والمحبة إلى جميع أبناء الكنيسة والمؤمنين، سائلين الرب أن يبارككم ويحفظ عائلاتكم، وأن يمنح العالم السلام والرحمة والخلاص.

✠ Feast of the Holy Ascension ✠

“You ascended in glory, O Christ our God, granting joy to Your disciples by the promise of the Holy Spirit, through the blessing they were assured that You are the Son of God, the Redeemer of the world.”

With great spiritual joy, Saint Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Ascension of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ, who ascended bodily into the heavens, sat at the right hand of the Father, and opened for us the way to the Heavenly Kingdom.

On this glorious feast, we lift up our hearts and eyes toward heaven, asking the Lord to strengthen us in faith, hope, and love, and to fill our lives with His peace and heavenly joy.

On this blessed occasion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and love to all the faithful and to all the children of the Church, praying that the Lord bless and protect you and your families, and grant peace, mercy, and salvation to the whole world.

“During the Matins service for the Feast of the Ascension, one of the hymns says: ‘When the angels saw Christ ascending into the heavens, they marveled at seeing human nature in heaven for the first time. This teaches us that our human nature will be deified in the Kingdom of God.’

This great feast teaches us that our bodies, together with our souls, will be deified in heaven. For this reason, the Orthodox Church rejects the cremation of the dead.

For us, the body is sacred. When we partake of the Body and Blood of the Lord, God truly dwells within us — not only spiritually, but truly and actually as well.

We complete baptism with holy water, not ordinary water. In our Church, we have many blessings in every service and feast so that both our souls and our bodies may be sanctified.

This feast also reminds us that our calling as Christians is to sanctify our whole being: soul, mind, and body.

The Ascension of Christ reminds us that we are of immense value in the eyes of God.

Let us therefore live in a manner worthy of His great love for us.”
