Gentlemen,
It is hard to put into words the feelings that I have today, the final day of my Presidency. It was both a loooooooong 2 years and a fast 2!
Here is what I can say without difficulty. It has been my privilege to serve as your President and an even greater one to have worked with all of you on the board.
We accomplished many great things over these two years. From increases in membership and member participation, to outreach and chesed events, we have accomplished a lot. Our December 24th program has been revitalized and has been profitable for the first time in a while. Our Super Bowl event has grown dramatically and is very popular. Our Sukkot event continues to be an excellent draw and some of our flash events, like bowling with the boys were very successful. Even with the disruption to our normal programming from the Corona Virus, we have still continued to thrive. Thanks to Dan Shifrin for the daily trivia questions. It has been a great addition. Our Hearing Men's Voices virtual event was inspiring. And the "Tastes of Shavuot" drive by event was soooo well received. And the list goes on.
I end my Presidency with a profound sense of accomplishment, but with a small twinge that there is still more for us to do. It goes without saying that I am not going anywhere. I will still be around and be as involved as ever.
I want to wish my successor, Spencer Brooks the best of luck over the next 2 years and I am always here to provide any assistance I can give.
Our club is a very strong one. My hope for our future is that we continue to grow in numbers, grow in the quality of our events, find a way to include ALL men in the shul in our kehilah, and continue to grow closer as a brotherhood.
My profound gratitude to all who helped make these past 2 years special for me and for our club. No one person can make a Men's Club great. It truly takes a village! WE made the past 2 years great. And WE can make the next 2, under our new President, Spencer Brooks, even better.
In brotherhood and friendship,
Rich Zirin
HPCT-CAE Men's Club President (for a few more hours)
