Thank you to everyone who joined us today for our 4th Annual Reverse Tashlich water cleanup. We were thrilled to be joined by Shorashim Hebrew School and members of Kol Ami and the Womenโ€™s Tefilla Group. A big shout out to Mark Lesko from Sustainable Highland Park and the Highland Park Environmental Group for bringing the supplies.

According to Mark today we collected 313.5 lbs of trash plus a piece of plywood, large metal cylinder, and 3 tires. Very impressive!

Thank you to everyone who came to participate in our annual Mitzvah Day. Thank you to the Men's Club, HPUSY and Kadima, and the Youth and Family Education program for partnering with us. Special thanks to Sherri Lerner for bringing in a guest from CASA to teach us about the foster care system. A shout out also needs to go to the Unger/Gross family and Joy Kuchinsky for delivering the brownies to our first responders.

Congratulations to all of us on receiving the 2017 Jewels in the Crown award from the Women's League for Conservative Judaism at this year's convention. This award is a testament to the hard work of our Sisterhood board and to our continued support of and participation in all of our programs, activities, and fundraisers throughout the year. The award was given to us because we demonstrated a commitment to community service, offered a variety of programs including educational opportunities, and participated in WLCJ activities including the annual Torah Fund campaign. We look forward to sharing what we learned at the convention with you over this next year as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Women's League by Mathilde Schechter.
