Pray for Priests and Vocations

On Saturday, June 20, the Archdiocese of Chicago will ordain three new priests. We thank God for their generous response to His call and pray for them as they begin their priestly ministry.

At the same time, we are becoming more aware than ever of the shortage of priests in many of our parishes. As priests retire and fewer men enter the seminary, the need for vocations continues to grow.

Let us pray for these new priests, for all who serve the Church, and for young men who may be hearing God’s call to the priesthood.

“Ask the Master of the harvest to send out laborers for His harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

Read and share: Consecration of the U.S. to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, June 11
At their November 2025 Plenary Assembly, the Bishops of the United States voted to consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The consecration is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 11, on the eve of the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Friday, June 12). This presents an opportunity for a unifying and healing moment across the Church in the U.S.
You can view a Livestream of the Consecration, which will take place in the context of a Votive Mass on June 11, in Orlando, with all the bishops gathered in Plenary Assembly.
