The debate over whether homosexuality is a sin or not is like a severe illness that refuses to respond to medication. It's the "go-to" favorite interview question of high-profile nonbelievers like Larry King, Piers Morgan, and others in the media. I always hear this question, "Is homosexuality a sin, will the Jew or Muslim who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ go to hell"?
Unfortunately, the responses are watered down so that no one gets a clear, complete, satisfactory, acceptable answer. There is that fear, "Oh what will people think; that I am a minister, and called someone a sinner?" Or there is that fear of the public outcry for being insensitive, cruel, and condemning. "God is love", they say." How can a God of love send people to burn in hell?"
SIN, IS SIN. Whether its adultery, lying, killing, or coveting your neighbor's wife, the scripture says, "
I John 1:9
Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Job 13:23
How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
Psalm 19:13
Don’t let me do what I know is wrong. Don’t let sin control me. If you help me, I can be pure and free from sin.
As I pointed out before, sin is sin. However, people would rather be convinced their life choices are right and not wrong. Everyone has skeletons in their closets and our closets are fuller of wrong than right. We must be transparent about it to ourselves.
I once spoke to a woman on social media who confessed to being a Christian. We spoke about Christianity and scripture, and I fell on the floor when she told me there was nothing wrong with homosexuality because Jesus didn't talk about it in the gospels and he, never condemned homosexuality in the gospels. I asked her if she had ever read the entire bible and she responded, "No, just the gospels." My friend, you can't believe the gospels without believing the entire bible and confessing that it is all the word of God. People like that are fools. About two-thirds of the New Testament was written by the Apostle Paul, as the Spirit moved him.
When you read a book, do you read the last page alone? The bible is filled with God's word on homosexuality. The high-profile ministers who are asked if homosexuality is a sin either don't know their bible, don't know God, or are cowards. the bible equips you with the response so that you tell the world the truth and be not partakers of the wrath which is coming upon this earth because of sin.
