Dear Parish Family -

I wish to invite you to an important meeting being held in our church next week.

As you know, St. Patrick’s Parish has been under review for some time now by the Archdiocese. His Eminence, Cardinal Dolan, has recently come to a decision regarding our future.

The Cardinal has asked that Sunday Mass not be the place where this decision be discussed, and so, his decision will be announced at a town hall meeting scheduled to take place this coming Wednesday, March 22, at 7pm in the church.

I invite, and strongly encourage, all parishioners to attend.

I hope to see you all on Wednesday evening.

Dear Parish Family,

Recently it has come to my attention that there have been some posts on social media in which the future of St. Patrick’s Parish has been discussed. I write you this brief message to provide clarification.

Contrary to one recent post, it is not true that the property of St. Patrick’s Parish has been sold, nor is our property up for sale. However, it is true - as is widely known - that the future of our parish has been under review by the Archdiocese of New York, and that there is a possibility that St. Patrick’s could merge with a neighboring parish. As of now, no decision has been made in this regard. I assure you that I will communicate that decision to you as soon as I am permitted to do so.

I advise everyone to be cautious about believing and spreading hearsay. If at any point any parishioner would like further clarification regarding the status of our parish, I would encourage them to speak to me directly.
