Your feet have room for both this summer.

There will be days for beaches, barbecues, vacations, and rest. Those things are good gifts.

But what if you set aside one week to walk alongside others?

At Summer Outreach Week, you’ll serve at Vacation Bible School, visit seniors, support local outreach ministries, and discover that service is about more than what you do—it’s about the people you meet, the community you build, and the ways God works through each of us.

Give one week to something that matters.

📅 June 29–July 3
📍 Hudson Valley, NY

Registration closes June 1.

Happy Birthday, St. Padre Pio!

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”

Born on this day in 1887, the humble Capuchin friar from Pietrelcina continues to lead countless souls closer to Christ through his witness of prayer, sacrifice, and trust in God’s mercy.

St. Padre Pio, pray for us!

“There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and pray for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

May God grant eternal rest to all the faithful departed, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for others. May He comfort all who mourn their loss and bless those who continue to serve.

St. Michael the Archangel, patron of soldiers, pray for us. 🙏

Come, Holy Spirit. 🔥🕊️

“And suddenly there came from the sky
a noise like a strong driving wind…”
— Acts 2:2

May the Holy Spirit renew our hearts,
our Church,
and our world.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us. 🙏

A Pope, a parable, and a painting. 🌾

“If we realize we are not a fruitful soil, let us not be discouraged, but let us ask Him to work on us more to make us become a better terrain.” — Pope Leo XIV.

Summer Outreach Week (SOW) is more than volunteering. It is a week of prayer, service, encounter, and community — an opportunity to let God work on the soil of our hearts.

Through serving our neighbors in need, praying together, and stepping outside our comfort zones, participants often discover that God is quietly cultivating something deeper within them.

Only a few spots remain, and registration closes June 1.

The Province of St. Mary, gathered in Provincial Chapter, has elected its new Provincial Council. 🙏

Country artist Eric Church recently compared life to the six strings of a guitar: when even one slips out of tune, you feel the dissonance immediately.

He called faith the “Low E” —
the foundation.
The note every other note rests upon.

“The people who tend to their faith in ordinary seasons do not come undone in extraordinary ones.”

At CFM, we believe faith is not meant to be lived alone.

Prayer.
Service.
Community.
Encounter.
Laughter.
Challenge.
Mission.

These are some of the ways God keeps our lives in tune.

And when faith is tended well, its resonance reaches far beyond ourselves.

Serve with us this summer.

(And if you haven’t heard Eric Church’s “six strings” commencement speech yet, give it a listen sometime. The metaphor stays with you.)

Joyous Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord!

As Christ ascends to the Father, He does not abandon His people:
“I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

“May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope
that belongs to his call.”
— Ephesians 1:18

In this month dedicated to Mary, we give thanks for the mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and spiritual mothers whose quiet love and faithful witness shape families and communities in countless unseen ways.

Like Mary, they teach us compassion, perseverance, prayer, and trust in God through the ordinary moments of daily life.

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary watch over and strengthen all mothers today and always.

Happy Mother’s Day from Capuchin Family Ministries.

We rejoice with great gratitude as Jonathon Lawrence has been accepted into our Capuchin Postulancy program. 🙏🏼

Jonathon’s “yes” is a reminder that God is still calling—and that courageous hearts are still responding.

As he prepares to enter this next stage of discernment and formation, we ask you to join us in praying for him: that he may continue to listen attentively to the Lord’s voice and follow where He leads.

Jonathon will begin his postulancy in Milwaukee this July and will spend part of his summer serving with Capuchin Family Ministries during Summer Outreach Week (SOW).

Please keep Jonathon in your prayers.

And if you have ever wondered if God might be calling you to something more…

we invite you to take a step:
