This evening, we were so happy to present a sponsorship check for $500 to these young ladies. Several days ago, Pastor Joy saw them at Lowe’s Alachua in the hot sun ☀️ raising money for their team. Not being able to donate at the very moment, he asked them to come by this week.

From the team: “Our girls are raising money for their local 10U Softball All Star Team with The Raiders of Santa Fe Youth Softball. The girls will be competing in Districts this weekend in Palatka, and will also be competing in the State Competition at the end of June in Lake City. The girls are raising money to help with their equipment costs, uniform costs, competitions fees and dues, & other related items.

These 10U All Star Softball Girls are awesome and pretty amazing to watch at this age! Keep an eye out for them as they continue to work hard and strive for success!

Pastor Adam Joy said, “When I saw them outside the other day, it was very hot. But they were in such good spirits with the biggest smiles on their faces. It really moved me to want to do as much as we could to help them get a little closer to their goal as they’re working hard to raise funds.

Our youth are our future & when they’re passionate about something & asking for help from the community, we must do as much as we can to support them, because it’s many other things that they could choose to be doing.”

A truly remarkable moment. Our days & weeks are very busy between church operations, Deeper Purpose Family Resource Center- TRC, Deeper Purpose Community Food Ministries & Deeper Purpose Kids Academy.

At the end of the day on Friday, one of our After Schoolers was walking over to the Family Resource Center to be with his mom. While walking over, he saw one of our senior citizens leaving the food distribution, appearing to be carrying several heavy bags. Already carrying something himself, he offered to assist her to her car & help lighten her load.

“Mam, would you like me to help you with that? I don’t mind.” Being a respectful, & upstanding young man, is what we talk to this student about often, as well as is what his parents instill in him. How beautiful it is to see it on display in real time. To the person that sent this to us, thank you for capturing the moment. ❤️

We are so thankful to everyone who was able to make it out to the Visioning Session & Grand Re-Opening/ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at our Deeper Purpose Family Resource Center- TRC on Wednesday morning! It was truly a beautiful time! This would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the Children's Trust of Alachua County & Partnership for Strong Families! 💙

We know that some couldn’t make it, but want to thank our City Manager, Mr. Jeremy Marshall for showing up. We understood that you couldn’t stay long, but showing up meant the world to us! High Springs Winn-Dixie & High Springs Police Department, & Community Foundation of North Central Florida, thank you as well for sending representation.

We are now PROUDLY funded by the Children’s Trust of Alachua County at our Family Resource Center with two FULL time employees & are so humbled & excited to do so much more in our community!

We are getting our Kids Food Pantry started and the first shelf is stocked for it! The shelves will be refilled daily. Fresh fruits 🍏🍎🍊🍌🍑 will also be available for the kids daily! More details on the flyer! Kids will be able to walk in & grab what they’d like. No questions asked.
