Keeping It Reel with Pastor D
Peace and blessings, family!
Have you ever noticed that when life gets hard, we start looking everywhere for answers?
We call Mama.
We call Daddy.
We call our best friend.
We ask coworkers.
We scroll social media hoping somebody has the answer.
There’s nothing wrong with having people who love you. We all need that.
But here’s what I’ve learned…
The people who love you may not always have the power to fix what you’re facing.
That’s why Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
When life throws challenges your way, don’t make God your last call. Make Him your first.
The people around you can encourage you, but God has the solution.
Three things happen when you seek God first:
1. Your faith grows.
As your faith grows, your attitude begins to change. A better attitude gives you the strength to keep moving toward the purpose God has placed before you.
2. Your confidence gets stronger.
You’ll remember that if God brought you through before, He can bring you through again. Yesterday’s victory becomes today’s encouragement.
3. Your testimony gets bigger.
The very thing you’re struggling through today may become the story that gives someone else hope tomorrow.
So today, don’t just look around.
Look up.
Seek God first…and trust Him to handle the rest.
