Please continue to keep the Waden family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Deacon Roland Waden, a faithful servant and cherished member of the Stanton Place Church family.
Deacon Waden served the Lord and this ministry faithfully for many years—as a Deacon, Minister, Men’s Sunday School teacher, and member of the Male Chorus. His presence was a blessing to our church, and his commitment to the work of the Lord was evident in the many ways he served.
Beyond his service, Deacon Waden was a man who deeply loved his family. Those who knew him will also remember his wonderful sense of humor. He loved to laugh, loved to tease, and had a special way of bringing joy into a room.
Today, our hearts are saddened, but we are grateful for the life he lived, the love he shared, and the legacy of faith he leaves behind.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
To the Waden family, please know that Bishop Floyd D. Collins, Sr. and the entire Stanton Place Church of God of Prophecy family extend our deepest love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to you. May God surround you with His comfort, strengthen you in the days ahead, and give you peace as you cherish the many memories of a life well lived.
Rest well, Deacon Waden. You fought a good fight. You finished your course. You kept the faith.
You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. 🕊️
