This was posted five years ago and how appropriate it fits into the third year of this PANDEMIC! May your 2022 be filled with the Overflowing Abundance (OA) from Jehovah Jireh - in JESUS' NAME, AMEN!!!
PRAISE GOD! We learned some powerful truths in Bible Study regarding the warning signs found in Hebrews 2:1-4.There are five warnings that was elaborated upon:
1. Drifting from the TRUTH (read Hebrews 2:1-4) - there is an urgency for the believers to respond to themselves and fellow Christians from drifting from the WORD of GOD through encouragement to endure in our faith which is found in the WORD of GOD. Spend quality time with GOD while learning more of HIM, repent when we have identified our shortcomings and sins, and renewing our devotion daily. It warns us about watering down the WORD of GOD to appease non-believers in their ungodly lifestyles and behaviors.
2. Neglecting & Rejecting the TRUTH (Hebrews 3:7-9; 4:1-16) - In Hebrews, there is provided dire consequences for rejecting CHRIST (read St. John 3:18; 1 Cor. 1:18; and, Rev. 20:15). The warning is for the believers who had begun the journey of faith but now were faltering along the way.
3. Rejecting CHRIST leads to hopelessness and spiritual immaturity (Hebrews 5:11-14; 6:1-12) - there is an urgency for the believers to hear the WORD of GOD and apply it to their lives. The warning here is that believers are watering down the WORD of GOD to satisfy the flesh of individuals.It points out that they were spiritual immature and were easily drawn into disobedience. JESUS was and still is very clear and direct about whom will reign with HIM in the prepared place called Paradise (read Rev. 2:1-7).
4. Judgment and Fiery Indignation as an Adversary of GOD (Hebrews 10:19-39) - the believers must learn to encourage one another to hold fast to their faith and exhort one another. Vengeance belongs to the GOD ALMIGHTY and HE will repay when HE comes. The warning then becomes loud and clear for the believers not to fall in the hands of the LIVING GOD doing contrary to HIS PERFECT WILL. We must breathe, live, love, walk, and sleep by our FAITH in JESUS CHRIST.
5. The Discipline of GOD the Consuming Fire (Hebrews 12:14-29) - In Hebrews, it is expressed in depth about the discipline of GOD. It is emphasized that GOD has commands each of us to follow peace with all men and how vitally important it is for us to be holy, because holiness, without no man shall see the LORD. There will be a great shaken on the Earth as well as in Heaven. We must have a pure and clean heart in order to inherit eternal life with our HEAVENLY FATHER and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Remember, it is FREE WILL for every man; therefore, if we refuse to endure and suffer with HIM on earth, we can be certain that we WILL NOT reign with HIM in Paradise.
