Built in 1972, the Hayworth Chapel is a respite for students and a regular gathering place for groups and for chapel services. It seats up to 275 people, and includes faculty offices, meeting rooms and a fellowship hall. A balcony was ad

ded to the Chapel in 1999 due to increased attendance at weekly Chapel services. The chapel garden was completed in 2005 and makes a great sitting area for students and visitors.

BIG NEWS: Chapel is moving to Wednesdays at 7PM starting this fall!

Here’s why:
As class conflicts at 5:30pm have continued to grow, we’re making this change so more students at HPU can experience Chapel together.

This is an opportunity to reimagine Chapel and recommit to our mission of what matters most:1. Practicing belonging2. Becoming who God is calling us to be3. And beholding God’s grace together in all that we do.

So beginning this upcoming semester, here’s what Wednesday nights will look like:
👉 HPU Chapel Connect @ 6:00pm - A time to gather, connect, and build meaningful relationships before our worship service
👉 HPU Chapel @ 7:00pm - A vibrant, Christ-centered multi-denominational service designed to engage and challenge students in their faith
👉 Vital Groups (Small Groups) @ 8:00pm - Intentional spaces for conversation, Bible study, prayer, and deeper discipleship

For more information and to read Rev. Dr. Preston Davis’s letter regarding this change, head to the link in our bio or visit HPU’s website here: https://www.highpoint.edu/religiouslife/

We can’t wait for all that’s ahead. 💜

(also big news…Rev. Davis doesn’t have a beard😶)

Are you excited for Chapel at 7:00pm?!
