High Point University Chapel and Religious Life Wednesday, 7:00pm - Weekly Chapel Service

Memorial Chapel serves the campus and community of High Point University. Chapel service meets every Wednesday at 5:30pm. Come join us for worship and fellowship! Built in 1972, the Hayworth Chapel is a respite for students and a regular gathering place for groups and for chapel services. It seats up to 275 people, and includes faculty offices, meeting rooms and a fellowship hall. A balcony was added to the Chapel in 1999 due to increased attendance at weekly Chapel services. The chapel garden was completed in 2005 and makes a great sitting area for students and visitors.

What does it mean to stand for what you believe?

Join HPU Chapel for an unforgettable pilgrimage through Germany, February 18–28, 2027!

Walk in the footsteps of Martin Luther and Dietrich Bonhoeffer as we explore the Protestant Reformation, Christian courage in the face of injustice, and Germany’s remembrance of the Holocaust.

Through historical sites, meaningful conversations, prayer, and reflection, we’ll explore how the witness of the past can shape who we become today.

Do you know the hope that goes against your doubts?

This week at Chapel, we started our new series called “Learning to Hope: What future are you living for?” Drawing from Psalm 40:1–3, Rev. Davis shared how our dread and anxiety about the future may be connected to our impatience with the Lord’s work in our lives. But even when we’re shaken, the waiting can become a place where hope begins.

Welcome back, everyone! We hope that your fall break was restful, and that you’re just as excited as we are to be back in Hayworth Chapel to wrap up the semester!

Tonight, Rev. Davis opened with our new series “Learning to Hope: What future are you living for?” by teaching us through Psalm 40:1–3 that Christian hope is not passive, but rather an active step we take in our faith. We have to actively and consciously choose to put our hope in Christ daily and surrender ourselves to Him because He is the One that can draw us out of any low we’re facing.

We’re missing our community while we’re away on fall break, so here are some more moments from our incredible worship night with L I Z Z I E M O R G A N and Collision Worship Band!

Witnessing all of our student leaders work together to make this worship night happen for our Chapel community was so inspiring. It’s such a blessing to see how the Lord is using each of us to bring Him glory through all of our individual gifts!

We can’t wait to be back with everyone next week and see how we can continue to become the people God is calling us to be!
