NC EAST DISTRICT — STORM RESPONSE

If your church, or someone in your church family, has been severely impacted by recent storms, please don’t hesitate to reach out for help.

Our District Response Team will put together a team—or multiple teams—of volunteers to come alongside you, serve your church and community, and help with whatever needs we can meet.

If you have a need, let us know. Even if you’re not sure what kind of help is needed, reach out and we’ll talk through it with you. Contact the District Office or reach out to Bradley Hill directly.

Stand with Nepal in Prayer

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

We join our Wesleyan family in praying for Nepal following a devastating flash flood that swept through communities near central Nepal and the Tibet border Wednesday.

Lives have been lost and hundreds are missing as rescue efforts continue. Homes and critical infrastructure have been destroyed across affected areas.

Wesleyan churches in the Nuwakot and Dhading districts have asked for urgent prayer. We are still waiting to learn the full impact on our churches and communities.

Please pray for:
> Those stranded, missing, or grieving the loss of loved ones
> Those who have lost homes and livelihoods, and for rescue teams working in dangerous conditions
> Our pastors, leaders, and Wesleyan churches as they serve their communities

Pray that God would bring comfort, protection and provision, and that our Wesleyan family would be a source of Christ’s love and hope to those who are suffering.

Do you receive the Wesleyan Daily Devotional in your inbox? Great way to start the day. Today's reminds us not to quarrel over foolish things, but to position ourselves as people of peace.

But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. (Titus 3:9)

Are you interested in spending time alone with God, and with other holiness denominations at the New Room Conference hosted by Seedbed in Montgomery, AL? CMAD is hosting a free pre-conference meal for all Wesleyans in attendance at 11AM on September 30th. When registering for the conference, use the code TWC50 for $50 off your registration.

Also, if this is your first time attending New Room, CMAD wants to give you an additional $50 off registration for the Sept. 30-Oct. 2 event. To receive, email Justine Tegen at [email protected].

This gathering is a chance to meet a few members of the new CMAD team, hear the vision for the denomination, and deepen relationships with one another.

If you missed District Conference, then you missed this message from GS Jim Dunn. He asked us all to pray for oneness over The Wesleyan Church - one with God and one with each other. Let's all be part of the "Wesleyan one." One...that they may believe.
