West End General & Furniture Thrift Stores: provides low cost household items, clothing and furniture for the community. Hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm. Leslie’s House: This program offers transitional housing for 22 single women as well as case management and additional supportive services with the goal of a healthie
r, self-sufficient life. The Winter Women’s Shelter is open December through March providing additional safe, warm space with supportive services. To learn more, click here:

Outreach: provides classes and activities for neighbors and residents of Leslie’s House to enhance skills, offer training and provide recreational opportunities. Community Meal: provides a hot meal served to approximately 200+ neighbors weekly on Thursday evenings at 5:30pm. Food Pantry: distributes food boxes to qualifying neighborhood residents each Thursday afternoon. High Point LEAP: West End provides community partnership for leaders and children participating in this literacy and development program. Emergency Assistance: helps households with utility or rental/mortgage assistance. VITA Tax Services: provides free tax preparation service to neighbors in the community making less than $41,000/year.
