St Christopher's Episcopal Church

09/23/2026

Hi Team, info and calendar stuff for us:

1) Our last Fall Formation class will be tonight @ 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. Bring a Book of Common Prayer if you have one!

2) Our basement—which in fancy church terms is 'the undercroft'—is almost open for business! This Saturday, Sept 26 @ 9am we'll be having a workday to make sure it’s clean and in tip-top shape for our 60th anniversary celebration. Come help out!

3) This Sunday, September 27th after Coffee Hour, we’re hauling all the folding tables and chairs down to the basement. Help load up! And if you have a pickup truck, bring it!

4) Our 60th anniversary celebration is October 4! In addition to worship, we’ll have a slideshow, an interactive history of St. Christopher’s, and a catered lunch. Also, at their most recent meeting, your vestry decided that the loose plate offering on Sunday, October 4 will go to the rector’s discretionary fund. This money is used primarily for direct assistance to individuals and households in our community: power bills, etc. Grocery and gasoline cards are also helpful.

God's Peace,

Hi Team,

Just a reminder that we start our fall formation class tomorrow (Wednesday, Sept 9) @ 6:30pm! We'll finish by 7:30pm, promise! This is the first of three classes on the Episcopal Church. Folks planning to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church should plan to attend!

Hi Team,

As you may have heard, the air conditioning is currently out in the main church building, so we're holding tomorrow's worship in the Parish Hall.

I’m writing with more info for tomorrow’s service (August 16, 2026).

-We will worship in the Parish Hall at 10am, as previously noted.
-The service will be what we would normally do: Holy Eucharist Rite II. There will be music, a sermon, communion, readings, prayers, and a blessing of the backpacks as planned.
-Due to space constraints, we will not have coffee hour after the service. (As you can see in the picture, the coffee bar is also folded up and being used for communion items.) I recommend making plans to go to lunch with folks you like after church 😊
-Tomorrow's service will not be live streamed.

Many thanks to the folks who came to help with the set up this morning!

See you tomorrow, and God’s Peace.

Hi Team,

Alleluia, He is risen!

Happy Easter to all. I’m just writing with a couple administrative notes:

1) First, the office will be closed this week. I have a deadline for Oxford approaching and am taking a couple vacation days to prepare. (I am not leaving town, however, so pastoral emergencies should still come to my cell phone.) Our volunteers have been working overtime for Holy Week as well, so the folks who can take a break should get to!

2) Second, vestry will meet as planned next Sunday, April 12, 2026 at noon. We usually meet downstairs in the basement, but next Sunday we will meet in the church so as not to disrupt coffee hour. (Altar Guild, we won’t start the meeting until y’all have finished, promise!)

God’s Peace,

Daniel+
