We're making more Comfort Bears tomorrow! Over the past three years, our Comfort Bear ministry volunteers have made more than 1,650 bears for children in our community who are in the midst of trauma. The group meets at Jane's house at 1:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month. New members are welcome, and no special skills are needed. Can't make it tomorrow? Mark your calendar for the next meeting on Thursday, July 9.

Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of your faithful servant Barnabas, who, seeking not his own renown but the wellbeing of your Church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Tomorrow's Healing Eucharist honors one of the earliest followers of Christ and a key figure in the spread of the gospel. A Levite from Cyprus, Barnabas—whose name means “son of encouragement”—was known for his generosity and faith. He embodies the spirit of one who sought not his own fame, but the flourishing of Christ’s church.

Invite a friend to VBS!

We could share every day about our upcoming Vacation Bible School and Action Camp, but it still wouldn't be as helpful as you asking friends and neighbors to join the fun. All children ages 3 and older are welcome!

This year's theme, "Stories of Shalom," is about resting in God's great Peace/Shalom, no matter what is going on around us. Shalom is a sense of wholeness and well-being that exists when we are at peace with God and God's creation.

Pastor Frank will be our guest preacher tomorrow! Bishop Jennifer shared a picture of him when he joined St. Mary’s back in January. Before his retirement, Frank served his career as a pastor in the United Church of Christ (The Congregational Church). His sermon this Sunday will take place on the 50th anniversary of his ordination. Thank you for sharing with us, Frank, on this special day!

The Carolina Hurricanes pulled even in the Stanley Cup Finals last night after a thrilling comeback overtime win against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Now the series is tied 1-1, and the Canes have the momentum.

Bishop Sam shared earlier this week: "The Diocese of Nevada has challenged the Diocese of North Carolina to a wager on the outcome: The winning diocese will have $500 donated to Episcopal Relief & Development in their honor. Of course we accepted!

So join us in celebrating the Canes' quest to raise the Cup and bring it home to Carolina!

Let's Go Canes!!"

Margaret McDonald, a founding director of the Academy, left a wonderful message to all of us:

"I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to lead the academy for 25 years. Thank you to all teachers and students, past and present, of the Academy. It’s so wonderful to see the expert way Yulia has continued the excellent growth of the Academy.
Thanks to everyone involved who made the celebration so exciting and meaningful!
Words from the board members, parents, Yulia, as well as Father Rob, were very inspiring!
Thanks to all involved who made the 25th Anniversary such an inspiring event.
Words cannot express my appreciation.
May the Academy continue to grow for the next 25 years and beyond!"

Dear Margaret, we are very grateful for your courage, leadership, and love for music and children! We are committed to continuing your desire to grow a future generation of music lovers!

Father in heaven, by your grace the virgin mother of your incarnate Son was blessed in bearing him, but still more blessed in keeping your word: Grant us who honor the exaltation of her lowliness to follow the example of her devotion to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Tomorrow's Healing Eucharist in the chapel transfers our observance of The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Join Fr. Louis at noon for this celebration that reveals the meeting of the old and new covenants, of prophecy and fulfillment, and of two faithful women whose openness to God made way for salvation’s unfolding.
