We are grateful for all of our missions volunteers which include those serving with Disaster Response! Pray for those serving today in the Outer Banks, for disaster response, local first responders and residents affected. Continue praying for western NC too.

This is a feeding vehicle one of our church members drove to feed the helpers. It had to be transported by ferry.

If you’re interested in chainsaw work, rebuilding, feeding, other Disaster Response or Community Service (community service includes local disasters, helping seniors with yard work or assessing other labor needs), please contact Michael Gay, Green Street’s Disaster Response Coordinator: [email protected]

We continue highlighting those we are praying for and supporting through our budgeted Missions Support Fund. The M Family was recently assigned to serve in Panama. ⭐️Remember, we do NOT share names or identifiable information about those serving overseas.

What does the M Family do in Panama? They build relationships with personnel and their families, providing support, encouragement, and care through all seasons of ministry and life. Whether celebrating victories, navigating transitions, processing challenges, or simply needing someone to talk with, our goal is to come alongside our people and help them thrive personally, relationally, and spiritually.

💚Ministry prayer request:
Pray that the Lord would continue to give us wisdom, discernment, and encouragement as we care for and invest in our personnel. We pray for meaningful connections, open conversations, and opportunities to help others thrive in their life, family, and ministry.

As you may be aware, Panama had some major earthquakes recently. While most of the damage was west of the city, there was quite a bit of shaking with 7.7 earthquakes. Amazingly, the high-rise buildings in downtown Panama City were not damaged. All the personnel are safe. Pray for those who were affected.

💚Personal prayer requests:
Children, grandchildren, and parents — that the Lord would continue working in the lives of our family members. We especially appreciate prayer for our parents, who are both dealing with significant health issues, and for wisdom as we support and care for them during this season.

💚Wisdom and balance — as we juggle travel, ministry, family, and personal responsibilities, that the Lord would help us maintain healthy rhythms of work, rest, and relationships.

💚Health and energy — for physical health, endurance, and the energy needed to serve well during busy seasons of travel and ministry.

💚Our walk with the Lord — that we would continue growing in our relationship with Christ and serve from the overflow of what He is doing in our own hearts and lives.

“You were born with value and purpose, live it out on and off the field! Praying and cheering for you!”

It was great to share encouragement with students with the Southwest Middle School Football Team, cheerleaders and school staff yesterday! SW Middle and High are two of the 21 schools represented in our Student Ministry at Green Street Baptist Church and two students who we saw yesterday attended our local missions camp.

⭐️Remember: We need breakfast & lunch buddies at Ferndale Middle!

One safe adult can change the trajectory of a child’s life. We need 12 more people for 1.5 hour per month (to meet with male or female students twice per month in 30 minute time slots at breakfast or lunchtime at Ferndale Middle in High Point).

Will you make a difference in the next generation? Showing up for people consistently encourages a trusting relationship. We have training and resources available.

Last night, we fed the Ferndale Middle School Football Team and looking at the students who are within walking distance of Green Street, all I thought about was that quote. Be the difference. We are more alike than we are different.

Last night, we had the opportunity to serve dinner to close to 100 High Point Christian Academy Football Team members. Green Street Baptist Church staff decorated and served the team as well as had the chance to talk with the students. We love Coach Rocha and appreciate his leadership. (Pictured here is our Student Pastor, left, with football team members and Coach Rocha, behind the sign, who is a member of Green Street Baptist.)

Green Street Baptist founded HPCA in 1996 and built our church campus such that we could share space with the school and students.

On Sunday, November 1, HPCA families are warmly invited to our church services where the HPCA students will be sharing their musical gifts with us during our time of worship. See the schedule in the comments section.

Adam Tucker and his wife, Ginna, are members of Green Street, and their three sons have been lifelong students at HPCA. This is the first year we’ve supported Adam through our Mission Support Fund.

Adam serves as the National Director of Campus Ministry for Ratio Christi (Latin for “the reason of Christ”), a global ministry dedicated to equipping university students and faculty to give historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ.

In his role, Adam leads Ratio Christi’s campus ministry efforts across the United States, equipping and supporting Campus Directors as they establish and strengthen chapters on college and university campuses nationwide. Through these ministries, students are challenged to think critically about their faith, engage thoughtfully with others, and boldly share the truth of the Gospel.

💚Please pray for wisdom, courage, and protection for Adam and the Campus Directors he serves as they bring the truth and hope of Jesus Christ to university campuses—places where the Gospel is desperately needed and often met with resistance.

The estimation is more than 100 countries and 70,000-80,000 people visit for the High Point Furniture Market. Let your light shine, church. Each and every day, we have the opportunity of influence, encouragement and support, how will we use it? Let’s not forget to pray.

We’re moving globally as we introduce you to those we invest in. Due to security, we honor the family’s requests and the leading of their employer NOT to share their name, photos, exact location in any way (no social media, no email, not in print). Please read that again. By not following security protocols, this family and their colleagues could be put at risk.

The G Family has deep ties to Green Street! They’re currently serving in Europe and everyone is great. We hope to serve with them one day but timing hasn’t lined up just yet.

💚Prayer Requests:
Pray for their neighbors many of whom walk past churches every day but have no idea of what they represent, who celebrate holidays started in faith without the second though of the One commemorated, who are so blessed by God but have no relationship with Him.

Personally, the G Family kids aren’t kids anymore! All are great and they appreciate your prayers as each follows Christ in their own journeys.

Pray for ease of travel and expenses as they visit us.
