Today, some amazing youth from High Bridge Reformed Church stopped by to donate a few items to the pantry. What may seem like just a handful of groceries can mean a meal, a little relief, and a reminder to a neighbor that their community cares.

July Mission of the Month!

CASA College Kits!

Less than 3% of foster youth graduate from college.

We can help them be successful by helping them get off on the right foot!

These kids are aging out of the foster care system and will be going out on their own. These baskets are a small way we can help them feel supported, more confident, and more stable for this huge transition stage of life.

We are collecting the following items to make 6 baskets to send students off ready to succeed!

(Blankets and sheets can be combined with Bed in Bag set)

Full size Conditioner

Full size Body Wash

Full size toothpaste

As their last item of business last Friday, the RCA General Synod adopted a statement declaring Christian Nationalism to be in opposition to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The professorate, along with Rev. Bill Te Winkle, drafted the statement at the request of the GSC and the Commission on Theology.

The statement was approved (150 votes in favor and 6 dissenting votes)

Each summer the food pantries shelves become critically low of supplies, this summer is no different for Open Cupboard Food Pantry.

HBRC and Women for High Bridge are working together to STUFF THE TRUCK full of donations and restock the shelves of Open Cupboard Food Pantry

Non-perishable donations can be dropped of at HBRC anytime in the blue bin at the back door. All donations collected at the church will be brought down to the truck on July 11 during the Music in the Park event.

Join our friends at SRLC tomorrow to learn about very useful local services and volunteer opportunities!

This Saturday, April 25th, from 10 am to 2 pm, you can visit many local agencies that offer support services and learn what services are available. They will also be there to let you know what volunteer opportunities are available with their organization.

You can get your blood pressure checked from the Hunterdon County Dept of Health/Division of Public Health Nursing, or find your new best friend among the animals in the carriage shed with Common Sense for Animals.

Hello Everyone!

This month HBRC is collecting items to create 5 baby boxes for CASA SHAW (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children of Somerset, Hunterdon & Warren County). All items must be new.

In addition to collecting items for the baby baskets we are collecting items for their pantry for all members of their families.

Items for their pantry include:
Diapers and pullups, all sizes

Toiletries
(deodorant, shampoo/conditioner for all hair types, body wash, shea butter lotion, toilet paper)

Cleaning supplies
(dish soap, dishwasher tablets, cleaning spray, bathroom cleaner, garbage bags, laundry detergent, fabric softener)

Broom, dustpan, mop, swiffer system (with pads and cleaner)

All items may be dropped off on Sunday mornings or any time in the blue plastic tote by the back door!
