Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'”

Sorrow to joy. That’s what Mary Magdalene experienced when she saw the risen Jesus. And Jesus didn’t want that joy to stay with her, He wanted all of His disciples to share in it. So, He gave her a message to carry; the good news that He was alive.

Today we celebrate Palm Sunday—the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, welcomed with praise and open hearts. As we wave our palms, may we also prepare our hearts for the journey to the cross and the joy of the resurrection.
