Stephen’s, we strive to worship in a way that is fresh and new while holding fast to our traditions. We embrace good old fashioned hymns and newly-written worship tunes. We incorporate instruments from organ and piano, to electric bass and guitar, to saxophone. We encourage enthusiastic participation from our congregation, foster lay leaders through their roles as assisting ministers, lectors, and

altar guild, and enjoy the music ministry of our choir. Pastor Emily’s commitment to strong preaching, the importance of Holy Communion, and the centrality of prayer in our lives propels us forth from worship into the world, where we strive to share the grace and love we’ve received with others. We also have seasonal midweek worship on Wednesdays during the church seasons of Advent (the 4 weeks before Christmas) and Lent (the weeks before Easter). Jesus never abandons his followers. Through the Holy Spirit, he remains with us—dwelling in every generation of believers. As Pentecost approaches, we’re reminded that the risen Christ lives within us as the Spirit of truth.
