Dear Parish Family,

Please join us on Sunday, July 12, as we gather in prayer for the 40th Day Memorial Service of our beloved Vasil Kockazi, who departed this life on May 26, 2026.

Born on March 12, 1949, Vasil was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Zarif Kockazi; his loving children, Ibrahim Kockazi, Helen Kockazi, and Diala Kockazi; his cherished grandchildren, Emilie and Maximillian, and his sisters Sirin Kockazi and Loris Kockazi Kochisarli, who will continue to honor and carry forward his memory.

We invite all parishioners to join the family in prayer as we ask our Lord to grant rest to the soul of His servant Vasil and comfort to all who mourn his passing.

May his memory be eternal.

WE CHANGED THE DATES

Dear Parishioners,

To better coordinate with Father Aziz’s schedule, we have made a few adjustments to our summer Mass dates. The dates we sent you yesterday are incorrect. CHURCH IS CLOSED TOMORROW ON FATHER’s day. Please use these new dates instead.

The updated schedule is as follows.

Dear Parish Family,

We are grateful to share that Abouna is recovering following his recent hospital stay. As he continues to regain his strength, he will need some additional time over the summer to fully recover.

To ensure that our parish continues to gather for prayer while also allowing Abouna the rest he needs, we will be celebrating Holy Mass every other week through the beginning of August. On the weeks that Mass is scheduled, we are blessed to welcome Father Aziz from New Jersey, who has graciously agreed to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with us.

Please find the Mass schedule below, which will remain in effect until further notice:

Theses are the dates that church will be open for Holy Mass:

June 21st- Fathers Day

July 5th

July 19th

August 2nd

Please remember that church will be closed the weeks in between these dates.

Dear Parishioners,

Tomorrow we celebrate the great feast of Pentecost, one of the most important days in the life of the Church. Pentecost commemorates the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, filling them with courage, wisdom, and faith to go forth and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.

Often called the “birthday of the Church,” Pentecost reminds us that the same Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and inspire us today. As we gather for worship, let us open our hearts to the Spirit’s presence and pray for renewed faith, unity, and a deeper commitment to living as disciples of Christ.

We look forward to celebrating this joyful feast together and sharing in the blessings of the Holy Spirit.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Mr. Bahjat Diarbakerli on March 15th. Mr. Diarbakerli is the beloved father-in-law of Mary, daughter of Elias and Layla Arnett.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mary and her entire family during this time of loss. Please keep them in your prayers, that they may find comfort and peace.

The 40th memorial service for Mr. Diarbakerli will be held this Sunday, April 26th. Please see the attached information for details.
