RESURRECTION INTERNATIONAL CHURCH

Resurrection Family Church began meeting December 1991, with 16 people in attendance. The first official service was held January 1, 1992, with 40 people attending (twenty-one adults and nineteen children). Sunday morning services were held in the Senior Citizens Building at the Brown Penn. Sunday evening home group was held at a member's home. Wednesday evenings RFC met at Sunny Valley for worship. In September 1992, we moved to the Hwy 70 location with sixty-three attending our first Sunday service. We remained at this location until November 1997, at which time we moved our services to First Church of God. January 1998, Hickory High became our home for one year, during which time we became totally mobile. After two years of believing and one and one half years of negotiating, praising, giving above and beyond all of our means, through much hard work, sweat and tears and prophesying to four jars of dirt and a rock, the Lord brought us to this facility; the Life Complex home of Resurrection Family Church. He is awesome and totally faithful to fulfill His promise. January 1, 1999 we celebrated our seventh anniversary. January 3, 1999 was our first service at this location. Proverbs 3:5 - 6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight." In 2003 the church embraced the Vision of G-12 which enables every believer to minister through the discipling process. On May 31, 2004, Apostle Steve Deitz formally announced that Resurrection Family Church was changing its name to Resurrection International Church. This name change better identifies the call of the church to the nations. Presently there are two other churches, all of different denominations, but with like visions, meeting in the Life Complex Facility of RIC.

Maybe the practical step is asking an honest question most people avoid. What is competing for control of your heart right now? What habits are quietly shaping you? What compromises have become normal? The fear of the Lord invites people to stop managing appearances and start surrendering deeply.

Because when somebody truly honors God, it changes how they spend money, treat people, handle temptation, speak to family, make decisions, and respond under pressure. Holiness is not meant to shrink your life. It is meant to align your life with the One who created it!

What if the breakthrough you are asking God for begins with surrender instead of striving?

You are not always going to feel motivated to spend time with God.

Nobody posts that part, but it is real....

Some seasons feel spiritually alive. Other seasons feel dry, distracted, exhausting, and numb. That does not automatically mean you are failing. It means you are human.... The danger is not having a hard season. The danger is slowly building a life where God only gets your leftover attention!

If your soul feels disconnected lately, start simple and stay honest:

💙 Read Scripture before you touch your phone in the morning.

💙 Pray out loud even if all you have is two honest sentences.

💙 Worship while you drive, clean, work, or walk instead of filling every quiet moment with noise.

Deep roots are not built through occasional emotional moments. They are built through consistency!

This is bigger than becoming wealthy. Plenty of rich people are still deeply restless. God’s idea of prosperity includes peace, wisdom, discipline, generosity, healthy relationships, and purpose. Real prosperity means money stops becoming a master and starts becoming a tool that serves God’s kingdom instead of feeding selfishness!

Whatever your next step looks like, lean into Him instead of leaning into fear, distraction, or the pressure to have everything figured out already. God is fully capable of leading people who are willing to follow! 💙

Some people have been praying for increase while refusing to ask what increase is actually for. Maybe God wants to prosper somebody so they can fund ministry, open their home to people in crisis, help somebody escape addiction, support missions, adopt children, feed families, or become the first person in their family line to build something healthy and God honoring. Blessing carries assignment!
