For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Good afternoon FHAC families:
I just wanted to praise the Lord for this past Sunday! We’ve strived for a change, and a change is coming! I just wanted to encourage everyone who stayed after church service and participated with the voting; whether you vote “yes” or “no”, at least you’re exercising your right as a FHAC member and that’s a good thing! Being a member with age 16 and older, our greatest benefit is being able to voice and to vote. But anyway, remember that these are man-made laws and please don’t allow it to hinder your walk with the Lord.
As I have preached on Sunday that changes may bring instabilities to the church at first because of the many changes but we pray for the healing of the church and we trust that the Holy Spirit will work in our hearts so that we can encourage and help each other to make things better in the long run. I truly believe that the changes will bring about healing, love, forgiveness, faith, and growth to FHAC if we all just pitch in and do our part(s) as a true and genuine Christian.
Back in January of this year, as my family moved and started a new life and a new family with you all, I believe that many of you have also started the new year with a ‘new chapter’ in your life and allow God to be the Author. If you did, you have taken ‘one step closer to the cross.’ Please continue to walk the straight path with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work in your heart and transform your life. (“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.” Galatians 5:15-17)
Last but not least, I also wanted to encourage us all be optimistic Christians and not pessimistic Christians... Always think positive and not negative! Negative thinking hinders challenges and it’s going to stop us from growing. The above Scripture reminds us that God has great plans for us, to prosper us, and not to harm us. This great plan gives us great hope and a future.
May the Lord bless you all my fellow brothers and sisters.
