Devotional: As Jesus opened the Scriptures, the disciples’ hearts burned—not from information, but from revelation. God’s Word, when taught under His anointing, doesn’t just educate; it ignites transformation. True spiritual fire isn’t found in emotion or programs alone, but in encountering Christ through Scripture. When we approach God’s Word with open hearts and dependence on the Holy Spirit, it leads us beyond knowledge into intimacy.

Bible Verse
“He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” — Luke 24:27 (KJV)

Reflection Question
When was the last time God’s Word truly stirred your heart, and what helped create space for that encounter?

Prayer
Holy Spirit, open the Scriptures to me. Let Your Word pe*****te my heart and set it on fire with love for Jesus. Amen.

Devotional: The disciples weren’t searching for Jesus—they were walking away in disappointment—yet Jesus sought them first. What felt like coincidence was actually divine pursuit. This reminds us that God is not waiting for us to find Him; He has been moving toward us all along, even when our faith feels weak or misdirected. He knows exactly where we are, what we’re carrying, and what our hearts need to hear.

Bible Verse
“Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.” — Luke 24:15 (KJV)

Reflection Question
How does knowing that God seeks you before you seek Him change the way you view your relationship with Him?

Prayer
Father, thank You for pursuing me even when I wander. Help me recognize Your presence and respond to Your grace today. Amen.

Devotional: It’s possible to talk deeply about church, theology, and faith and still miss Jesus Himself. The disciples on the road to Emmaus knew the facts, discussed the events, and shared their disappointments, yet failed to recognize Christ walking beside them. Religious knowledge alone cannot replace a living relationship, and sometimes familiarity with spiritual language becomes a barrier to genuine encounter. Even so, Jesus patiently walked with them, listened to their confusion, and met them where they were—showing us that even when we don’t recognize Him, He is still present and pursuing us with grace.

Bible Verse
“Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus.” — Luke 24:13 (KJV)

Reflection Question
Are there areas in your spiritual life where you’ve been talking about Jesus rather than actually walking with Him?

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me move beyond religious talk into real relationship with You. Open my eyes to recognize Your presence in my daily walk. Amen.
